    Finally, someone reviewing woman's work clothes by a woman that works! Thank you!
    What about heavy duty work pants, coveralls, gloves (especially winter worker!), and please please please do boots (and list sizes available, because I'm shoe size 5).
    Keep up the good work, and the good fight. No more pink for heaven's sake! 🤣

      My next video will be on overalls so keep an eye out! I definitely want to do a boot review, I'll add it to my list. Thanks so much for your support :)

    The Duluth pants ripped in the thigh in under six months of wear here on the farm. Two different models, within weeks of each other! One pair was the same as yours and the other was their gardening pants. This was pre-plague so I had bought in person even so I'd tried them on first. Neither was at all tight on me. When I contacted them, they tried to claim that was normal wear and tear and gave me a huge hassle. I did get a refund, but had to ship them back at my own cost (which would have been free in the US) and super did not appreciate that they tried claiming I was trying to wear pants that are too small. My husband also got pants from them and not only were his way thicker fabric, they also have a gusset in the crotch! (Like the Dovetails, which I love)

    I needed this! I literally ripped my new pants in the field today 😭 My struggle is finding pants that are durable but light weight and breathable because I’m mostly trekking through the woods, weeds, wetlands and it gets sticky…

    • @technicallyatech
      @technicallyatech  Před 3 lety +4

      The most lightweight pants from this list would hands down be the Dovetail. Next to that, and a much more affordable pant would be the Duluth pants! Let me know if you end up getting either (or if you find other pants that I didn’t include!!) & what you think 😊

      I’m doing field work this summer and I cannot find any pants that fit both needs of protection from the bush and breathability for hot days 😢

    I LOVE the carhartt leggings! I'm one of those women cursed with a small waist and big butt and thighs. Finding work pants that don't gap in the back is almost impossible, but the carhartt leggings are my new favorite! Very durable!

    For a first video you did amazing! I didn't think that was the case at all. Thank you for this, my wife and I have been trying to find some good work pants for her for some time. This gives us a better spot to start.
    Thank you!

    I have had terrible exerience with Duluth Trading. Five pairs, always start great & never make it a year before they have a hole in the knee or crotch. Wasted so much money, finally learned.

    I have 4 pairs of the Carhartt leggings and they are my favorites for warmer weather. I can be out in the pouring rain, or on a moon pad on the side of a mountain, or cutting through thorny bushes and they keep me comfy and have yet to snag or tear. Not so great for cold weather unless they're your base layer. Definitely going to check out Duluth after seeing your review though! Super helpful video!

    I’m not an import expert, but I think if the website has a “Canadian version (.ca)”, it will charge you HST instead of import duty (I think)? In any case, the government wants to get their share of the money 😅

    I bought a pair of those carhartt leggings at tractor supply earlier this year for (if I remember correctly) about $20! They always have carhartt on sale, especially in the women’s section. :)

    Thanks so much! The inseam info is helpful for us tall ladies so thanks for including that. I would love a similar video comparing work coats/jackets from these same brands! (Specifically, do they have flexibility in the arms or do they feel bulky and stiff, are pockets big enough for a large smart phone, and how big hoods are. ) Thanks!

    My daughter does CRM archeology, so is hiking miles through fields, overgrown forests, and thorny patches, and digging around 25 shovel tests a day. She and the other female CRM workers have found that the men’s Duluth firehose work pants hold up the best. They are comfortable, functional, fit well, and are sturdy. The same pants for women have less pockets, the pockets are less deep, and aren’t made as well. When will these companies learn?

      I have been wearing the Carhartt storm defender bibs for 2 years on my farm and they are fantastic! I did rip the crotch (not the seam) climbing over a fence, but a piece of duct tape did the job, lol.

    It's frustrating that carhartt womens xs is a 27 which leaves out size 26, 25 and 24 and anyone petite. I leave reviews at least once a year about it 😒.

    Mid size women (including myself) with curves..... no one makes pants for us. What do I have to do to get a stretchy waist!?!?!?!?

  • @mom_im_losing_it
    @mom_im_losing_it Před rokem

    Nothing beats carhartt material and filsons. The men’s clothing is just better my not fit that well but they last years. Also the price matches the quality women’s workwear is just poor quality but when red ants pants were a thing those were truly the best quality women’s work pants made like men’s but with women sizes and curves.

  • @katherine3276
    @katherine3276 Před 2 lety

    Women’s work wear is definitely lacking... Carhartt Crawford pants are a joke, they are not durable enough for the automotive industry. I understand not everyone needs super stiff pants, so for my preference I really like Dickie’s carpenter pants from Walmart, or men’s Carhartt loose fit firm duck pants. I can usually fit into a 28 waist with enough room to move around, but it is definitely not easy if you have any sort of hips or bum!
