My niece was 3 during the 1984 Olympics. She watched the gymnastics and, within 3 days, was doing it. My sister put her in gymnastics, and she decided it was not what she wanted and ended up in the WNBA😂😂.
Yes, cause I did it a few times in grass and said never again cause it hurt both wrist. I was able to perfect it too but not without pain. Trampoline was the only place I would again after that torture.
My son is 2 and the things they pick up just by watching is truly amazing. He can vacuum, wash the dishes, do laundry, make smoothies. Their little brains at work is awesome
As I have 4 children... That kids at least 4 or 5. My daughter can do splits and backflips at 7.. she started doin all that on her own too. I'd say it started about 5 also.

Let kids play, let them get a free bumps here n there but if you see your child doing gymnastics outside get them into a class where yes some safety should be in place but don’t freak out and discourage something they obviously enjoy and on this one here she’s good at it. Though that’s a 4-6 yr old not a two yr old. No way that kid is two. You need to encourage them to pursue their interests without overly panicking or trying to push your failed goals/dreams on your kids. Support their interests but let them grow. They might want to be in gymnastics for a few years or they might decide they want to be professionally good and reach for Olympic status but you should take cues from them because they lose interest sometimes. I used to be a youth worker and I supervised gymnastics classes for little kids, there was one two year old who could slide the baby slide with no super vision and face forward and I was in awe how confident she was. And now this 2 year old makes a freakin back flip is crazy 😅

She is tall for a 2 year old. I didn't walk until I was 21 months old because I was so chubby. Since high school I have been a bean pole and have never weighed over 130 but I'm very tall. I have never learned how to do a cart wheel. This child is remarkable!

My baby brother did something similar when he was 3 years old. We lived on a farm and we had come home from the beach. He was all revved up and as he was running in the house toward the stairs to the second level he did a perfect hand flip, nailed the landing and proceeded to run the stairs like this was an everyday occurrence. The rest of the family just stood there slack jawed in stunned silence. He never did it again or showed any future gymnastic talent! But this kid is two and did a back flip. She's brave honestly bc I did gymnastics+cheerleading alot of the back flip is really just having the balls to throw your whole body back and trusting it to do what you hope it will and you won't land on your face. That's actually very impressive 👏👏👏👏👏
