She asked if at the beginning of his company he cared more about the technology or the revenue so he used the fact that even tho he had money there were families that had more money than his, but even then he wasn't driven by jealousy or envy to be on par with them. Yeah, his family had that but it does get MUCH BETTER than that, you know how? Having HIS OWN COMPANY, HIS OWN BUSINESS something HE created that could be for HIS children's future. He had siblings, so even if his parents decided to pass down their business, not everything would be just for him. He is the son of a Doctor, he's never HAD to worry/think about money for necessities. Easy not to care about something that is abundant.
Nothing wrong with that, but he's just not a good example of someone people can look up to or relate too. Remember he was born in the 50s. This was the Boomer generation, a time of great economic prosperity. EVERYTHING was much more affordable back then than it is now. Even minimum wage was good deal back then. And ONE job enabled you to live comfortably and you could buy a house in just a few years.
Then again nobody seems to wanna look up to some dude who is homeless and works hard and yet can barley make ends meet. I guess the reason why people only look up to celebs/rich folk is because they have what I think everyone wants; money and freedom. Because money=freedom =more control of your life.

It seems like your social class determines your attitude as parents.
Poor parents a lot of times seem to just teach their kids what worked for THEM and they believe you gotta go to school, get a diploma, go to collage, get a degree, and just get a job and thats it. But in this day and age all that advice practically history. Whereas rich parents tech usually teach their kids about money, investing, saving and starting a business. And not to just survive and avoid risks but to live and go above and beyond. And thats probably what Gates did for his daughter.
So let this be a lesson: if you’re born with something already secured, it doesn’t hold much value to you because you’ve always had it. Case in point, money.

He’s trying to do good with his money by getting healthcare everywhere. Now I know I’m not complete right but that’s what I believe he’s doing and most seem to think he’s weird or something because he’s constantly encouraging vaccinations when really I don’t understand how that’s weird he’s encouraging you to get medical defense against illnesses but since those Medical defenses are injections and administered by government owned health institutions everyone’s all “nah I’m not getting that” or making conspiracies about it.

Obviously this medical intervention has not stopped transmission nor has it prevented illness. To say that he is "trying to do good" is almost like you are sympathetic. He has no medical degree but is willing to tell people to take his product but unwilling to disclose the contents inside so other countries can produce the same thing.
