- Driver Error? Trailer Rolls Back Thru Gate. Mistakes happen, but sometimes they cost money. This driver was trying to couple her trailer when she pushed back the trailer too far, causing it to get stuck in a ditch and knocking down the gate. No problem, Pepe's to the rescue!
Alex did this job in two parts. First part was to lift the front of the trailer so she can back up to it. This gave the trailer stability to allow for part 2, which was lifting the rear of the trailer high enough so the driver can pull out without damaging the side skirts or bringing the gate with her.
I also have a give away!! The first person who can accurately guess the price on how much we charged this customer for this job, wins the brand new Pepe's duffel bag in the color of their choice! Didn't win but still want one? I got you fam, you can buy it directly here: shop.pepestowla.com/products/...
2nd place winner will get the new Pepe's blanket! Also available in black or white. This one is prob one of my new fave items because it's light and perfect for summer nights. You can get that one directly here: shop.pepestowla.com/products/...

Great job Alex, as always. I’m guessing $975.
Winner winner chicken dinner! First one to guess correctly, $975. 2nd place winner will be the comment with the most likes, which I'll probably announce on Wednesday to give every one a chance to win
congrats sir right on the money
Wow just read comments I thought 1000$ lol congrats Mrme5654
I was gonna guess over $1k - a simple winchout with a straight-stick cost me $500 about 8 years ago. I'm actually surprised it was this reasonable, considering it was a multiple hour job with a rotator.
@@DobieTanpawPeople think because we’re so huge and have this equipment that our prices are insane. Los Angeles is horribly saturated, we have to stay competitive so private jobs like this we often work with the customer within their budget just to get the job. I would have loved to charge more but it’s better to get a lower amount than $0
Alex talks to the remote like it's part of him--man/machine. Smooth operator. Safe/careful/quick.
When you need a tow, call AAA.
When you need a miracle, call Pepe's.
What a super nice driver. She was a gem.
I bet it's nice to hear a customer being so grateful and complimentary.
I think most are underestimating the amount of effort, travel time and cost of equipment needed to pull-off this job - not to mention Alex's skill. Thinking on your feet is truly the most compelling part of the videos and Josh's positive comments keeping moral up as work appears strenuous. Helps to have happy customer too. Based on the location and time on site, my guess is $2450 but could be low. Every penny plus more is worth it to get out of the weeds.
The customer was great--joyous and happy. That's the kind of customer you need. She was patient and thankful for Alex's expert help.
It's the Professer Alex to the rescue your the best
$1200. That’s my guess. Also those big holes in your ears is that where you hang spare shackles👍😎😂 good job very professional
Another awesome recovery with no damage to the trailer and your equipment and as always driver she was so grateful you did it so well
Greetings from Victoria Canada. 🇨🇦 It’s Canada’s birthday today, we are now 157 years old, which is almost twice as old as me. Thanks again for keeping this old lady entertained!
I'm a retired wrecker operator and heavy equipment mechanic and I really enjoy watching your crew. You and your crew are awesome. The way that you handle the recoverys is great. Thank you. I'm going to guess that it cost about 950.00. Again thank you. Peace.
really enjoy watching the professional interactions between the team from Pepe"s and the customers, also the teamwork of your different drivers. extremely professional
Alex is forever the total consummit professional, you rock dude!!! 😎
Yet another perfect rescue of a drivers fault. Alex is great. Pepe's towing's Big flipper and Alex team
are tops.
Are the duffel and blanket autographed by all the CZcams stars?
I really like a driver who appreciates their knight in shining armor who saves the day, and that happened to be Alex & Big Flipper. I was going to guess possibly 1000, but looks like somebody took the trophy home for 975 HAHA. I'm always late to these video's, but thats ok, I don't come here to win free prizes, I come here to watch quality content from my favorite Josh & Alex. You really made this ladies day, this is what I like to see, and what makes America great.
Alex another class job done with pride! The lady trucker was a sweetheart! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
It is so refreshing to see positive comments, thanks
Another outstanding job from Pepe’s towing and Alex is a true gentleman. Thank you for the video and keep them rolling. I’m gonna have to guess on that job. It was around $799.😊😊
$1250.00 or so. Not having a clue on what towing costs, this is my best bet. Alex, as always does a great job. I do miss seeing Hulk too, take care Josh.
Good Going ALEX
That was a great performance Alex.
You recovery professionals are absolute rock stars
Driver error. GOAT. Get out and look. Love the videos.👍
I remember chaining-up to a Yellow truck to my flatbed, years ago, who backed his trailer into a ditch like that. Pulled-him out, no sweat. He bought breakfast, and that was fine. At today's prices, I'm guessing that might have been around $500. Good job.
The real cost is that it's no longer a winch out after she dropped the trailer. Used to see it all the time drivers would pull the kingpin release to try and free themselves and now we have to recover 2 units
Glad to see you’re using a better ladder than that other one!
Guess.... 799. You worked well with her and didn't put any blame for going in the ditch; could have happened to anyone who didn't know that side of the yard.
It's not his job to assign blame. That's up to her safety department. The landing gear were all the way up. Only 3 possibilities for that. #1 she dropped the trailer after hooking due to no tug test, #2 the previous truck hooked to the trailer dropped it with out rolling em down to begin with, #3 mechanical faleure of the mechanisim caused them to retract under weight of the load. All of these scenarios mean this driver tried to force the truck under the trailer when the trailer couldn't even clear the tires and shoved the trailer in to the ditch. Her safety department will put 100% of the blame on her. If she couldn't low gear crank the landing gear down she should have sought help...
Great attitude displayed by that driver! An asset for the Andrus team. Since you were called out after hours, I'd expect to have paid at least $2,160 (tax included) for that service.
Alex is definitely a huge asset to Pepe’s Towing
Alex did an awesome job, as usual! Pepe’s to the rescue!!! My guess is $1800.
Alex being the Gentleman he is, youtube gotta love this man. I do dissagree on mentioning "driver error"in the title. this pasture is just bad. Props to the Lady.
If I had a truck like that I'd have to rig a seat to a hook, grab the remote and fly myself around.
😂😂
Oh, yeah. Safety first. Well, in the top 5 maybe.
I can say I’ve seen Josh get hoisted up in the boatswains chair, as well as lowered and raised to a casualty while wearing his class 3 harness. The videos are older ones (abt a year or so) but still really good ones. One was a car in a storm drain thing he rode our standing like cap’n sparrow rode his sinking dingy into dock in potc. The other was I believe a container yard where one of them was half fallen on an angle…..
I'm a relatively new Pepe's fan (although I've probably watched almost 100 of your vids). At the risk of embarrassing myself, I'll guess $550. Go Pepe's! All of you are great!
Awesome video as always! I guess $840 only because most comments guessed higher and the customer was happy. 😊
1500 for the job. Alex as always doing a great job. Big Flipper looking good.
Going to be $2800. You are a fair and efficient company. Thank you for the videos.!!! Peace Out.
The second video of the day that was absolutely wonderful ❤️. Today is going to be a great one. Pepe's rules!❤😂
Alex another professional job, your patience are incredible and you place no blame on anyone. You are a true professional!!!
You sure made that driver HAPPY!! Great job!
Watching from a far off land way down at the bottom of the world in New Zealand …
I’ve been binge watching all your vlogs … both on CZcams chrome cast Tv but comment on my CZcams on my phone ..
Flipper and the hulk are incredibly insane machines … I love their design and what you guys do .
Fantastic work team ❤❤❤….
I’m hooked to “ Pepe’s Towing “
😊
Well, you made her day like you say it can happen to anybody and it doesn’t mean she’s incompetent either like some of the comments said. ❤️❤️
So professional!!! Great job!!!
What a nice lady! Great job Alex!
Excellent job, the usual top professional interaction! Good going Alex! I'm guessing $750
❤❤❤ i love your content as a former straight truck operator i can simpincise her prediction. Drivers error can happen good job Alex.
'together' was the operating word, and customer got excited!😁 and remember flipper cannot do without Alex the driver!
You're so patient with drivers Alex. 👌
Nice clean and easy job, nice work Alex.
Love watching alex and flipper work. The trucks are so organized with all that gear
$1925 for another absolutely excllent recovery, courtesly and much pleasure to watch.
Nice job, cool driver acknowledging her mistake, that was good to hear. The tow costs a $750 hook-up charge and a $150 per hour minimum of two hours of labor. So I'd guess $1050 total.
28:49 - "That's my airbag, sorry!"
Yeah, that excuse never works for me when I use it.
Great video as always. For those who had grown up in the 1980s will understand this. The cost was USD$29.95 +TAX +S&H Make your check to PO Box... LOL
Once again awesome work Sir!!!
Awesome job as always! Alex you're the man !
I used to work for that company , at the time they had junk for equip. Wouldn’t believe the condition of the tractors. Now it looks like they finally got good equip
2000 dollars towing is not cheap
Great job, Alex You are the Man👍
good job guys peace and health
AWESOME JOB Alex and CUSTOMER SERVICE TOP NOTCH!! $1200
850! Great job Alex when you get to the job you check everything and then you go to work and get the job done with finesse and take good care of the customer.
Neat job! Well done 🎉🎉🎉
The fact that someone else asked for a business card is a reflection of what they thought of the recovery. Like the driver they were impressed.
If only all your customers were as happy and obliging as this one, even after their day turns to mush it would add an extra sparkle to all your operators.
Way to go Alex, perfect for the assignment for the job, your the best Bro
Nice work Alex. Slid that trailer right out of there. That driver was pretty chill, and no waiting an hour for payment. Kind of surprised the railroad didn't show up. They usually take these things personally. Guessing five large.
Here is a WAG 75.00. Alex is the ultimate professional. Maybe it is his mechanics background where parts and nuts and bolts have to be organized as well as tools. Anyhow enjoyed the video, relaxed my PM. Alex is personable, polite to everyone. Good video Josh.
Great Job Alex. I think it cost $1,100 for this job.
I'm guessing $2,000, another excellent job well done
Alex gained a new fan with that driver 😊
Great job again Alex Thank you Josh ❤
Your show is always enjoyable
saw one of your trucks the other day in orange county, ca very beautiful looking truck, keep up the great work!!
Hello brother across the pond aweasome as always thankyou .keep the sunny side up .peace to you and the crew
Would say this was the yards error, looking at the trailer next to it there is not much margin for error there with that drop off. Great work as usual!
Alex love your channel my guess is $2750 big equipment to call out. Keep up the good work and be safe.
Nice job Alex
I just love these videos!! So nice to see a job well done (as always!!) and everybody happy and feeling good. Thanks, Josh and Alex!!
Back up to the trailer, hook the air lines, run air to the trailer brakes. If the trailer starts moving, find something to chock the trailer tires. If that still doesn't work, call PEPE'S.
Good work ALEX👍
My guess $750 - Love the videos from Pepe's!!! Keep the great videos coming and keep on towing:)
Hey Josh and Alex, Great Channel! Got my Mr. Know it All shirt on right now. The cost was 750.00.
The lady was very happy and nice. The videos are always professional and bring a little joy into my computer bound world. Let's see the new trucks in action!!
Great videos when you're at home chilling. Good job Alex 💪🏼 As for price $980
I'm thinking $1375 as no time spent on clean up ! I'm from Southern Cal and love looking at my home grounds, so many new highways but I try to find them all on Google ! Great job as always !
Another amazing save by Alex! That was a smooth and fast absolutely no damage rescue that could easily gone wrong in someone else's hands! When you need a masterpiece call the masters at Pepe's! My guess is $945.
Good job Alex 👏 lovely and professional peace out here
Great job Alex
Very great job love ya love all video's ya put out
Gotta love that woman.
Me too
My guesses were already taken, so screw it, I’m going comedic value…. My guess is $694.20 (noice) lmfao.
Regardless of the (in)correctness of my answer, well done Alex. A relatively easy job, made easier by a nice polite driver who pays attention to what you tell them to do. Always a good thing. And as usual Alex being the consummate professional with his pleasant demeanor and “playful”/downplaying of seriousness with the driver. This is why I love this channel.
Agreed. I've seen truck drivers roll the tow truck over because they don't follow the specific directions given.
@@joeacosta5011 that almost happened to me years ago. I may or may not have yelled at the driver, and may or may not have called them incompetent to the degree that a bag of hammers was more intelligent than they were. I felt bad later when my boss asked me what happened cause he got a phone call about my alleged attitude and when I explained to him what happened he laughed and said “you’re good, and you’re right the driver was…. But please don’t do that again I don’t want to put out fires…. You’re the (volunteer) fireman, that’s your job.” We both laughed and I (allegedly) never did it again.
@@joeacosta5011 …. Btw…. Brother cousin or uncle of Josh? Lol just noticed the last name.
None. Father and owner of Pepe's 😂
@@PepesTowingService ooohhh I’m an ass. My apologies. Didn’t think of that option.
Good job.
Buenas noches ,Alex ,bonito video, buen trabajo, una gra ayuda, eres grande.❤👍👏🖐️💪🇪🇦. Jesus.
Muy amable. Gracias
This ... will absolutely infuriate a railroad. Starting with the dispatcher dealing with delayed trains and on up the management pipeline.
Awesome job as always , if I ever get out to that area and find myself in a situation PEPE'S will be the one I call . My guess on the job is $650.00
$1,250 is my guess. Sounded like Alex was in a fish tank. As always a great video. I like the way that Alex and you explain what and why you are doing.
Go Go Gadget Alex !!!!! 🤓🙋♂️👍❤
How about 1,150? Yes you guys are awesome!
1,175, great job!
Time and time again there is someone that seems to blow their horn. I feel its a sign of respect for what yall do because it takes a certain skill and dedicated person to this profession to accomplish what you do.
Practice makes perfect, right ?
Great job love the video, as for cost to the customer I would guess $2500. Thanks again for the videos
I was going to say 1750, but that's taken AND the driver seemed way too happy for that high a fee. Even if her employer is paying. So I'll pitch $844.
I also think Alex and Big Flipper have a major new fan in that driver, though she may be surprised to see herself on CZcams. Even the implied "why are you doing a second lift?" guy seemed impressed by the end. If they'd just hauled it out, the skirt, legs, and perhaps even the undercarriage would have looked a lot worse!
I suspect the driver who parked that trailer had it to close to the ditch, it probably was not this this ladies fault.
As for a price, $1750.
Good job Josh. Don't you hate the easy ones? LOL
Stay safe.
