The saddest and most jarring thing for me wasn’t even the after math. It was you just never know what the next few seconds is going to look like at anytime in your day. One second your fine and dandy. Then the next your knocked out and your friend passes away. It’s just terrifying to think about. To be clear the aftermath is sad too. It just made me think.

When I was in school they gathered two classrooms together and showed us a film containing pictures of crashes involving drunk driving. Blood included. It hit me so hard I literally passed out. These guys did a stellar job! I cried. It was well thought out and showed a deep understanding of the consequences of drunk driving.

I’ve dealt w these DUIs , delivered death notifications etc.
This hit home more than I thought it would. It has brought back emotions really hard that I thought I buried.
DUIs affect more than the person drinking. One dui crash will affect at least a dozen people. More when there are more passengers.
