Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 testing at Monza: Warm Up, Accelerations & Pure V12 Sound!

- Last week Lamborghini Squadra Corse invited me to attend a development test of their new Essenza SCV12, Lamborghini's track-only and limited-edition hypercar unveiled a couple of months ago. No, I'm not one of the lucky owners of this beast but they gave me the amazing opportunity to be the first one to record the SCV12 in the raw, pure sound way I have accustomed you during all these years. If that wasn't enough they also allowed me both to take some clips of the engine bay and to put my GoPro inside the cockpit for a couple of laps around Monza Circuit (I'll upload a dedicated video for the on board laps). Due to Monza's characteristics, the day was mainly focused on testing brakes and their behavior, trying different solutions. During this test the development car was driven by Emanuele Pirro and Raffaele Giammaria.
The Essenza SCV12 is the result of the combined work of Lamborghini Squadra Corse and Lamborghini Centro Stile. It's powered by the production 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine able to produce up to 830 hp and linked to a X-trac sequential 6-speed gearbox that unloads the power to the rear wheels. The aerodynamic package comes from Squadra Corse's experience with the Huracan Super Trofeo and GT3 cars. The bodywork is formed by only three elements to enable quick replacement when necessary during pit stops. The chassis of the SCV12 is a new-generation carbon fiber monocoque without internal rollcage, making it the first GT car developed to respect FIA prototype safety rules. A total of 40 cars will be built and, as it happens with XX cars for Ferrari or P1 and Senna GTRs for Mclaren, customers will be able to drive them from 2021 in “arrive and drive” events held at FIA Grade 1 homologated circuits. The Essenza in this video is the development mule, even if it reflects in all respects the definitive machine, so that is still using (and probably will always keep) the camo wrap they put on it to hide the major details of the car for testing before the official presentation, happened last July 2020 and during which they unveiled the colour scheme and livery.
I'm pretty sure I will never forget this day and I cannot thank Lamborghini enough for this unbelievable opportunity. Hope you like the video, guys!

@@evann5451 To be honest though, I feel its abit too regular to be special anymore. Its single-handily what makes this so special: He's never been invited (to my knowledge anyway) by Lamborghini Squadra Corse AND its to record their upcoming Track day car as well (Something that I don't even think the stereotypical dude bro car influencers have even done yet), quite the unique occasion.
I don't think many car companies will contact him in the future... They only contacted him because this Lambo is insanely loud! Maybe he will be "booked" for MotorSport Events in the future however or some privat racing teams.

Don't you think the pitch is way too low for an old Formula 1 engine...? This thing needs at least ten thousands more RPM to produce such notes. (Assuming it has at most 9000 RPM at red line.)
@@STRIDER_503 redline sits just above 8400 RPM, this is the 'safe' redline.
it could probably hit 10k with some modifications but you'd prematurely destroy the engine.
I'm so glad that V12 motors haven't disappeared like everyone expected they would with the advent of amazing forced induction technologies. What a treat.

Now, I seriously doubt that’ll be the case for a lot of reasons but I’m convinced that a lot of higher ups at Ferrari and McLaren and the such would much prefer to stick to the heritage of what racing is and should be. Lots of smart people in development, engine design, testing etc and just the sheer level of precise engineering involved- will be out of jobs

Very much. Thought it was some kind of Ferrari P4/5 Glickenhaus-style throwback tribute design to the Diablo at first. To be fair, the Diablo(esp. the Diablo GTR) looks like it was designed yesterday. It hasn't aged at all, unlike the Countach which now looks quite boxy.

@@gianlucar.4428 Mai dire mai, questa è un'auto da "trackday" che i proprietari possono gestire e comprare, non è come l'FXX Programme, quindi non si sa mai, tutto può succedere. Alcuni anni fa c'era una società che organizzava eventi in pista per Hypercars e ricordo di aver visto Aston Vulcan, Zonda R, 599xx e Lamborghini Veneno assieme. Chissà se un giorno tutto questo può tornare a nascere.
