  • Whether you like to forage or seek out new places to forage then be sure to take advantage of "waiting times" when you are out and about! Where there are green areas there are learning opportunities. Always be sure the environment is "clean" though.

I love doing this; once I had to wait outside the dentist and took photos of all the edible plants I could identify in the area. (Didn't gather anything just because it was pretty common stuff and nothing I love, but it's so cool to see what you can ID that's edible in a random, limited space like that.)

Great, thank you! Ha, I would have thought the butter and eggs were some euphorbia, when sighting from distance without having the flower on zoom :) (and I was like first omg actually these are rather known as poisonous regarding edibility, at least here in central Europe :). Now I know the similar leaf shape of these two. Love

Funny, you go looking for edibles & I go looking for geocaches. Seriously, I need some Lone Pine book recommendations to help me forage! (I'm guessing you would NOT recommend any app)

I'm not one to trust apps for 100% identification but I have found that PlantNet does send you in the right direction helping to cut identification time significantly!!
