  • I'm back!! Apologises as always for the absence but Uni life is something else!!
I've had a lot of questions about inpatient and what to expect so thought it would be good to do a Q&A on it. As I said, this is my own experience and opinions and every unit is different. I had so many questions so couldn't cover them all but can always do a part 2 if people would like me to answer more questions or do a more personal video about my time in hospital.

I hope you find it helpful and there are no mention of numbers of anything that could be triggering (I don't think!) so hopefully all is well!!
    -
    Keep smiling xox

My ED experience inpatient was hard. On one side of the unit we had older people then the side I was in were eating disorders and substance abusers. So it could be quite fun at times. I was there to getting weight. Which I thought tooth and nail. We had to drink something called Resource similar to Ensure but better on the anorexic gut. After meals we were supervised for half an hour. Those of us that were in weight gain we had to drink 4 Resource a day. With breakfast, between breakfast and lunch, between lunch and dinner then at snack time and every one of us had to be surprised half an hour after each drink. At all meals we all ate together with a mental health tech. We would always find way to bake us laugh. Being there at Christmas was so hard. My longest inpatient was for 10 months. I would do good then lose weight. They thought I was doing it on purpose but we found out that I was diagnosed with Chrons disease. Which in itself just adds to the stress of and ED. Currently I'm on TPN or Hyperal. It's nutrition that is delivered by a large IV that's accessed either in your upper arm or your chest. I need to gain about 40 more pounds just to be "healthy". I've been quite sick with my Chrons and it's such a hard thing because they always say I'm losing weight on purpose and I'm not. But anyway I'm inpatient and using my phone during evening phone hours.
Thank you for all they info you give and I think you are so sweet and very pretty. Thanks for these videos.

it used to really annoy me that I wasn’t allowed to wear my pyjamas all day 😂 even when I was on bed rest. The first question I would ask on admittance was what time can I put my pyjamas on 🙈

Lottie lives I used to violate this and only wear pj’s, I’d tell them “if you’re not Guna let me go out anywhere then I’m not getting dressed!”, and I didn’t. I spent an entire year in pj’s and how have a huge collection. I’d buy pretty ones online and have them delivered to the hospital 😂

Your experiences sound so similar to mine. I guess all Edu's are pretty much the same. Oh gosh I'm so glad those days are gone. I've actually made more progress since being out of units. They really didn't help me. Not meaning to be negative or put anyone off/cause anxiety. It's just my own personal opinion 😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️. Urgh bathroom supervision 🙈🙈🙈 awww but yes, I've made some amazing friends through inpatient admissions 💕💕💕 those god damn milky drinks 🤦

I can definitely relate...when they had you on the certain diet...you had to force feed yourself the things you disliked too huh? like cheese huh?
Were you on a certain diet plan? Like..Vegetarian or just eating seafood(as a protein source with addition to dairy) or on a regular diet plan?......I had to be on one(vegetarian not vegan)...because I didn't consume meat, they didn't provide it (I guess I ment a vegan diet) in almost all the places I went to....
well I think you did say it/talked about it...I'm watching while typing oops but it's clearer if you do say/respond...lol. It does suck when they(treatment team) thought that it was because my eating disorder I didn't like this or that...I get if it's a ton/loads of stuff but not everyone is the same. As well as my beliefs(about veganism not just about the diet)...they weren't allowed...so yea I get it....yes second part. I like that we can ask and you answer our questions...lol..it's helpful as well.👍😋
But other than those things but I did have good/"crazy" moments...lol.
And yes...it is a mental issue. But it can initially be physical at first. It is hard/rough.
Sooo...also how did you do with the whole comparison with others? Your treatment plan?
Omg! I was really close to done/certain staff as well than others lol... amazing feeling. Lol. Awesome 👍😉💜🖤💙😊
