Loved this music when MTV was a real channel, Party Zone, Chill Out Zone etc, bought this CD the 1st time I spotted it in HMV, then collected the other X-Mix's... This, X-Mix-3, X-Mix-4 and the Mr C Electronic Storm mix are the ones I still visit regularly...
Still got the VHS of this mix, visual,s old now but still take you there, enjoy your trip.

Superb trip, as expected from Laurent. The mix between "Deviant Behaviour" and then "French" @34:52 used to blow my mind and still does! In itself, it epitomizes everything that's awesome about techno music.

This is actually the greatest mix ever. The best bit..all of it. The best bit of the best bit...Kenny Larkin Track and Mike Dearborn Deviant Behaviour. I've got two children so I can't play the rude version of Deviant Behaviour unfortunately.

@donfluso9042 I used to phone Paul Thomas @ Kiss FM , because he was the one who booked the guest DJs. IN SEPTEMBER or October 1998 he told me Sven Vath would be appearing for a 3 hour set . THE last hour blew my mind ( it may have been a 2 hour set (..) .My mum threw it out by accident. I have tried for years to find the mix again

@donfluso9042 Vath was hit and miss, but the set he played on Kiss would have been based on what was underground over here in London at the time. It wasn't thumping techno , it was techy , housey kind of stuff. If you like this mix here , you would love the Vath set that was on kiss

Thanks Corecracker for this and many other great uploads. This is the mix that changed me musically forever. In 1994 when I was 13, I caught the premiere of this on MTV's Party Zone. After listening for around 5 mins, I recorded on VCR, then the next day used an old school cassette recorder up against the TV speaker to record onto cassette tape so I could listen on my walkman. I have the full 3-Lux series (X-Mix predecessor) on VCR, also X-Mix 1 - Xmix 5, and Xmix 2,3,5,6,7 on CD, all bought in the 1990's. All of these in mint condition, not for sale for any price. I prefer the first X-Mix, had that on VHS back in the day, with Secret Love etc. I found this one underwhelming, songs after Circus Bells are .. just meh.
