Tough one.. His own teammate was blocking him off from being able to side step it along the boards to the right.

I love that big hits are back. Lots of guys are getting caught with their heads down, this type of hitting wasn't as common for a long while so guys aren't ready for it, especially the younger players.

So refreshing to see a solid hit and then no retaliation fight or other BS. Let’s play some good hard hockey and make big hits a normal thing again.

It’s not refreshing at all it’s garbage and horrible for the locker room in Anaheim, I don’t care if it’s clean our not if someone blind sides one of your guys like that you do something about it or the opposing team will clown on you the entire game

@@curtisb5978 “blindside”? My man, he had an entire line to line to see the hit developing, he just didn’t lift his head. That’s what is called a good learning experience.
No, the other team doesn’t think you’re tough when one of your teammates comes up to push and shove like a little sissy after a good hit. You know how you show them you’re tough? You hit them solidly back and win the game.

Brilliant old school hit. Sad that it's even referred to as an old school hit. The game has gotten so soft. Keep your head up, boys. You want risk free hockey then there's this new league you might like called the PWHL.
