Thanks, Red buttons. This is a blast from the past for me. Grew up in one of those barracks. Opposite was the canefield. Behind was a little pond, then the factory. On wash day, works yard was the place to be. People sitting and washing , white clothes bleaching on the grass, while others rinsing in the river. Kids swimming in the river. That area where those kids are, diving off that water falll, has a sad memory. A man zekel was his name lost his life there, too horrible to say. The main works yard is to the right of that area. Another barracks was there as well. That road takes you to Holland Bay. I called that time the good old days. I was 10- 11 then. Now I am 68.

When I was a little girl, mostly in the summer time when we have no running water in the pipes, I went with my mom a few times to wash clothes there at Works Yard. One of my favorite rivers up there

I can count on my hands how many times we lost electricity in NYC but down here in the southwest, more times than I care to count. But only during a storm for like 4 hours etc.

Where The kids were, wasn't it there or close by that a crock grabbed a young boy who was fishing ? His fishing line fell into the water as he reached down to get it it got him. His buddy ran and told the ranger. Couple of days later the ranger shot the crock. So the story was told. Works yard is where the cessna spray plane was fueled and parked. ???.

Yes they are very slow mentally and physically when it comes to electricity. However they are fast when it comes to sounding like Americans and following everything little thing they do lifestyle was. They need to start waking up I'm following with electricity also and fix all the other bad roads.

Thanks, Red buttons. This is a blast from the past for me. Grew up in one of those barracks. Opposite was the canefield. Behind was a little pond, then the factory. On wash day, works yard was the place to be. People sitting and washing , white clothes bleaching on the grass, while others rinsing in the river. Kids swimming in the river. That area where those kids are, diving off that water falll, has a sad memory. A man zekel was his name lost his life there, too horrible to say. The main works yard is to the right of that area. Another barracks was there as well. That road takes you to Holland Bay. I called that time the good old days. I was 10- 11 then. Now I am 68.

When I was a little girl, mostly in the summer time when we have no running water in the pipes, I went with my mom a few times to wash clothes there at Works Yard. One of my favorite rivers up there

I can count on my hands how many times we lost electricity in NYC but down here in the southwest, more times than I care to count. But only during a storm for like 4 hours etc.

Where The kids were, wasn't it there or close by that a crock grabbed a young boy who was fishing ? His fishing line fell into the water as he reached down to get it it got him. His buddy ran and told the ranger. Couple of days later the ranger shot the crock. So the story was told. Works yard is where the cessna spray plane was fueled and parked. ???.

Inna di situation, it's hard fi say since each school ah follow dem own schedule. It's closin' in pon di end of di school year, so there might be testin' days or days off followin' di big track an' field day, and each student has dem own schedule. Blessings.
Not a Saturday, but this time of the school year the various schools have test days and schedules that are not predictably. At High School age the students from one area may attend a variety of schools across this part of the island. It’s hard to ever know for sure. Bless up yourself!
Why as a Jamaican we should learn to work hard? incase you were never told, everyone should learn how to work hard and that does have to mean physical. Unless you were born into riches and even those family had to work hard to achieve wealth unless it falls in they're hand.

Yes they are very slow mentally and physically when it comes to electricity. However they are fast when it comes to sounding like Americans and following everything little thing they do lifestyle was. They need to start waking up I'm following with electricity also and fix all the other bad roads.
