I have a ps4 with a similar issue where it runs hot while idling, but the disk drive has missing parts on the motherboard, but it worked for a little bit after the part fell off, and then the drive died, but it will still turn on a function fine
That TV you have is actually pretty rare. Thats the first TV manufactured with Android built in. I have mine and the picture quality still holds up. The only problem with this unit is the severe input lag due to the amount of processing going on in the back round. Basically you can't play any video games on it but the picture is amazing. And that's a rare TV don't brick it

Well then I'm very happy I saved it for $5. Maybe I should look into getting the remote for it also.
