Thank you for this video, it gives a lot of ideas for future projects
Great videos! Thanks!
Thanks! I have mostly very plain wood available around here. I'm looking forward to trying out these techniques this summer in the shop :)
You can get some really awesome effects with a little practice. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for this very useful tutorial.. would you tell me what did you spray to end the chemical reaction. Thanks
I love your results. Can i ask how long did you leave it for that reaction? Also was the copper leaf sealed in any way or was this put straight on after application of copper leaf? Thank you â€
Great tutorial. Going to try it on the copper accents I have gilded on a sign I am making. Can you tell me if Sodium Sulfite (Na2SO3) will work? I am having difficulty sourcing sodium sulfide (Na2S)
@Andrew St Pierre I get mine at Amazon amzn.to/3uU6xBU
I love your work. Iâm unable to find sodium sulfide anywhere, so can you please tell me what is a good substitute?
@Dell Pryor This is what I use. www.adorama.com/pyss1.html Let me know how it turns out. I also get it from Amazon sometimes. www.artchemicals.com/ has it too.
Would this work with reactive copper paint? Looks fantastic đ
Don't know. I will have try it.
Very pretty...how come you only used tissue paper at the end?
What is under the copper leaf? What is the vase made of? Did you apply the copper leaf to the vase? Thanks!

It will answer all of your questions.
I've looked for sodium sulfide online and I can't find any that isn't for sale only to companies or universities. Where do you get yours?
@Nozferatu Here is the link to what I use. It is the best bargain anywhere. Works great. amzn.to/3eJyh0I
@@rogerdalescott thanks
@@rogerdalescott i found the product you were talking about, thanks. But I've been reading up on sodium sulfide, barim sulfide, and cupric nitrate mixed with ammonium chloride, i have to say it seems intimidating. Now I know your product is diluted but if i use a vapor/dust respirator, chemical resistant gloves and work with it outside how much of a risk am I at.
Also, do you know if David marks dvd covers all of this, (ive got the DVD coming in the mail)
