I bought a brand new GW4 classic in April and so far has been amazing with the OS and battery life, well coming from someone that at first didn't understand what the hype of smart watches was all about. The physical bezel, I think, is a must in a watch that has multiple features in it that helps navigate without the lag of the OS with a bezel-less one. I don't like downloading music on it since it takes up space really quick and I would assume battery life as well; the sensors are par for their usage and again, only use it often when either working out or just want to know my bpm; really love the notifications when they come in on the watch since I don't have to take out my phone to look at it every time, although I really wish they had one for WhatsApp since I frequent the app a lot; Only used it for sleep on the first week until I realized that I hated waking up with something on my wrist but as with the sensors, they seemed to be somewhat accurate. And the battery, I've had it on my desk with use for about 3 days straight and on the 3rd day is when it finally died on me. But the recharge is really fast, not as fast as quick charge per se but its up there and within about 40 min Im already at about 55-60%. All in all, Im glad I waited when I did for the Note20 Ultra when it announced and just recently the watch with its connectivity being really good together, love having the pair plus the galaxy buds live to factor in that trio of performance. Definitely recommend!

You can set a notification for WhatsApp, you need to go into the wearables app on your phone, in watch settings you need to go to notifications and select which apps you want to ping the watch. I have WhatsApp set myself.

I can't understand how they can get such great battery life when Apple and Samsung are so bad. I guess it is quite big and dims the screen quite quickly but I've been very happy with it. I'm a watch 5 user. the battery dies very quickly even if it is not attached to my wrist without using it. For example, when I took it out of my arm at 10 o'clock last night, the battery was 44%, at 08 in the morning it was 18% + NFC off, WIFI off, location off, BLE off for battery test). I'm very regretful. I bought the watch 3 days ago. I am waiting for the art to be sold at a reduced price. Stay away from Samsung brand watches. Also, when I was buying the art, I said that I am a Xiaomi phone user and it was said that all its features are working, but if your phone is not Samsung, blood pressure and ECG will not work because of the restriction, you cannot download the relevant application from the Samsung store. The decision is yours. To use the Samsung Galaxy watch, you need a power bank with wireless charging. DEFINITELY...😂

I'm running Google assistant and my watch battery life is a day and a half constantly.
That being said I am going to try my luck with Samsung's trade-in program for the watch 5. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to compare them before returning one or the other.
This was a very very thorough review!

I am very sceptical about the watch 5 whether it will work with non samsung phones or not. Because if you go on to their official website at the bottom of the page it says you need to pair your watch 5 with a samsung galaxy device only. And I have tried contacting the support but they did not help with this, they just said it works with samsung about others we cannot comment. So I think they might have locked the watch 5 with samsung devices only l, Same like apple.

For all the love Samsung gets for now using wear OS instead of Tizen, until a wear os watch can have at least a week of battery life and not look like a brick on my wrist, the older watches (Tizen with all it's issues) are still the better set of watchs IMO. All I did was turn off the notifications I don't need for the watch and I still get like 3 days out of it. The watch itself is way better designed for people with very sensitive skin because with the original watch I couldn't get a perfect fit due to the design of the watch band. But with this new design I've got it on the perfect fit with no movements and no markings on the wrist from the watch
