I love how emotional Chris got when Mickey tried to kidnap him. But I'm sure most of us would have the same reaction. Adorable. What a magical day. Nice to see a full parade again. Even the ugly step sisters made the leap from the halloween parade to Christmas.
Those pictures were something else 😭❤️
One of the most unique elements that makes Disney so magical is the use of COLOR. There is no place anywhere that saturates the eyes so thoroughly yet creates uplifting emotions. Walt and his team gathered inspiration from nature and European castle interiors then elevated it into the Disney style and its positive atmosphere.

I've visited both Disneyland + WDW, Epcot & AK. Disneyland was my favorite (because of the overlays) Mom liked clear bulbs while Grandma liked colored lights. I was in charge of putting UP/dOWn both Sears artificial trees. Love to hear Jingle Bells + it's a small world in roundelay. Warn apple cider or wassail + Ginger bread cookie really caps of a night. Brach's ribbon hard candy (a favorite Christmas memory) Mickey is soooo cool! I'm glad you had that moment. His b-day coming UP. I always watch Steamboat Willie on that day.

I'm glad that you pointed out the update to It's a Small World to include the girl in the wheelchair. It's great to bring diversity and inclusion to the park. I also appreciate that you showed the mezuzah on the door of Dr. Silverstein, for the same reason.

About Christmas Tree lights -- I like both! I've usually done white lights, constantly on, not blinking. But I also love colored lights.
Quite appropriate for this very cold Fall we've been having in SoCal. 37° this morning in the San Fernando Valley. And for you tundra folk, that is FREEZING for us.

what a fun video! i literally almost cried when mickey took your hand and walked with you to get photos. what a treat! btw, i only like white lights on the tree because then all the colors of our various ornaments stand out more, but my husband puts colored lights on the outside of the house. 😊

We just visited the parks a couple days ago and love the holidays at Disney! Because I know you're big on taking care of our beloved cast members (us, too!), I was wondering if you've even seen or talked in a video about the "Cast Compliment" feature in the Disney app menu? I don't know what Disney actually does with submissions, but we discovered it during this trip and thought it was another sweet way to express our gratitude for all the cast members do to make our days magical!
Thanks for showing us The Holidays at Disneyland. It looked beautiful and festive! Thanks for those kind and loving words. One thing I like about you is you really enjoy your job and it doesn't seem like work for you. I'm sure there are challenging and stressful times .I went to Disneyworld once when i was 14 in 1975! I had won a free trip through my morning paper route. It was wonderful! In 1998 I moved to San Diego and I went to Disneyland once. I loved it. In 2003 I was visiting a friend in San Diego and I went again and loved it! I'm now back living on the East coast. I hope I get to Disneyworld or land again.
I will have a different Christmas Season this year. I was at Disneyland quite a lot last year between Veterans Day and New Years Day. But this year I will be part of making magic at the Disneyland Resort after Mickey and Minnie's Birthday.

I grew up with my Mom putting colored lights on our Christmas tree. While colored lights are fun in their own way, I prefer white lights so you can see the specific color of the decorations on the tree. 🎄 It's all fun.

Oh my God I was there on the same day that you were there. I saw us on your footage!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ I stood in line for an hour to see Sandy claws. In the pictures I looks like a little kid I had a grin from ear to ear and was bright red it was just the best. I wanted to cry just like you did when Mickey held your hand. I love the way the garlands spanning Main Street sort of "enclose" the space, making the open air feel cozy and warm! And seeing it's a small world bedecked in its glorious, sparkling overlay very nearly brings me to tears! Thanks, Chris, for a really beautiful video!

That moment when Mickey took Chris's hand made my day. The cast members are what keep me coming back to Disneyland each and every year. I grew up with only white lights on the Christmas tree and my parents still only do white lights for the Christmas tree to this day.
Since I can do whatever I want as an adult I have three Christmas trees 😂
One is a flocked tree with coloured lights. It homes all my Disney and fun pop culture ornaments.
One is a more traditional rustic kind of tree with white lights with vintage style ornaments, woodland critters, and only the colours of red, green and gold with some pine cones and apples. I put cinnamon sticks in that one to make it smell great.
And the last one is a white and pink, fluffy, glittery, glamorous tree.
I don’t like blinking lights on trees.
Thank you for the Christmas tour of Disneyland. When Mickey took Chris hand i almost ugly cried. That is how I feel when I get to see the characters. Even in my 50s!!! I remember walking into WDW one Christmas, and knew something was different about the tree. There was no aroma from the tree and looked different.
It use to be a major deal having a real tree in Town Square and what was do to it.

I like this video. I also like Chris, I do not know who he is, but it seems the Disney crowd know and like him by the many hello's he got in the park. As a former Disney entertainer myself, he is a natural for a gig with them if he does not already have one.....His calm caring demeanor on film is very good, easy to watch and simple. Big Ben is the name of the bell in the Elizabethan tower. Its a small misunderstanding that people think it's the name of the entire structure.
I believe the "ferrets" you mention are Gophers.

I know there’s some stuff for Hanukkah on Main Street and they do a short bit during the fireworks/castle projections, but if there is anything else for Hanukkah or the other non Christmas holidays, I would love to see a video on it.
