Yeah trading our first in this year’s draft for Siakam was so smart by the FO. This draft SUCKS!!

Keshad Johnson at 50 would be a great NBA ready SF wing type. Gets blocks, can lock down guy's fairly well. Great at catch n shoot 3's, can hit spot up 3's and is awesome in transition. Can get chase down blocks, or explode off two feet under the rim to block a dude.

If you could get up high enough to get a good enough player without giving up your 50. Maybe a few spots to get Jaylon Tyson, McCuller, Ware or Missi maybe.. Or just stand pat and hope to get Terrance Shannon at 36, or whoever may slip. If Bobi Klintman slips.. maybe then you could take a Dillon Jones at 50, a guy I really like that is a solid SF type prospect that is NBA ready now. Is Keshad Johnson.

We dont need any players who can just score. We need players that cam defend, rebound, and score

    • @mpeters99

That’s why I like Ryan Dunn. He absolutely cannot score currently but he’s so athletic he can develop an offensive game and can really fit in with our high tempo. Watch his defensive highlights if you haven’t, one of the best defenders I’ve seen in a long time.

Coming from someone who thought the team shouldn't have traded Buddy Hield. That's why it's pointless having arguments over 90 percent of the time with people on these threads

Is there a player you'd trade a future first for?
I wouldn't worry about PT for Dunn if he's there at 36. He could play immediately in late game offense/defense substitutions. That said, I'm leaning toward a big. Bona is interesting but Chomche or Ighodaro could be at 49.

Hello, I hope the pacers consider getting Jonathan Kuminga. I feel he is a good fit for the team. I can see him becoming an elite NBA player and becoming one of the best wings in the league.

I'd rather have Kel'el Ware than Turner at this point. This team needs to start making big moves and trying to take advantage of trading high on guy's to get other player's we need bad at positions we need now.. and get picks for them too. Get one higher pick in this draft for Ware, possibly a SF in the trade, or whoever for him. Then could even get another future 1st for Turner. Just saying this as an example. I know it's early for some people when thinking about Walker, but he's another guy and maybe you look for a specific player, not necessarily the draft when it comes to Walker.. But they could wait and do that type of trade at anytime. If they believe he can play some SF this year.. TJ is a player I like also, but at some point you should be thinking about selling high. What he can truly offer over the next couple seasons.. and what other young picks, or a player we could get for him. That may be a better player at another position we need and cheaper contract. If you traded a guy like TJ before the draft. Then there would be plenty of solid young guards we could add in the draft. Then if one doesn't develop like we want. We could always sign a younger backup guard in the next FA. But I know they won't ever trade McConnell. They'd rather grandfather him in for the rest of his life at this point. Should just retire in the next couple seasons and become an Assistant coach for us. Lol 🤷 I know these types of ideas aren't always likely.. I hadn't even thought of Turner in a trade. But with guy's extensions coming up. We should be thinking more about our future, who we want that we could get now as a replacement. If it serves us better to sell high now as opposed to resigning a player.. Guy's we've had for some time now are only going to want more money and keep regressing.. Not getting better and Ware is a player at C who is mobile. Has a quick release 3, hits a high %, has a much better post game. Is actually 7'0, 242 and I believe a 7'7 wingspan. Blocks shots, great mobility for a big, solid IQ guy and will only get stronger. While he's a 10+ rebound guy a game as well. My mock and picks for team's are much different than most. At least for certain guy's for sure.
I also think even though the Rockets traded for Steven Adams. They could and probably should draft Donavan Clingan. Reed Sheppard would be a solid player for any team.. But Rockets have already experienced what it was like to not have an actual rim protecting big this past season.. and with Adam's injury history. With already having Green and some scoring.. I'd be tempted to go for Clingan and then at some point look to trade Adam's for another guard of their choice.. or whatever best player they can get for whoever may want Adam's. They could even wait to trade him later in the season. Allowing Clingan to be mentored by Adam's. That way they could at least get some value from those picks they traded in that way as well as another player later. Then as for the Spurs, I could see them drafting Castle or Dillingham. Dillingham would definitely give them the scoring and attacking guard they could use next to Wemby.. Neither are necessarily great passers.. I guess you look at Castles Defense/size, then hope he can become someone who can shoot the ball well later. Seeing as he's only a Freshman. While most mocks have the Spurs taking Cody Williams with their 8th pick. I could see them rather taking the French man Tidjane Salaun. Because he's also a very good Forward who can play multiple positions. Better size and his body is more developed. I think also having another player on the team who is from Victor's native land who's French. Would also be a big moral and chemistry boost for them both as player's. You could potentially get more positives from the both of them having those two guy's playing together. By what I saw of both player's. I honestly think Tidjane has more overall developed skills. While he's a better overall defender and player. Cody might develop the better attacking ball skills. Quick hands to tip off passes to get out in transition.. But he's by no means a better shooter. Or someone who's much better than Tidjane right now. All about potential, but I think they may go with who Victor may rather have also. Part of me wouldn't even be mad if they just picked two guards.. But they really need a big wing player on the Spurs.. I like Devin Carter's game too though and he's a very Spurs like player. Speaking of him, the latest mock I saw, has him going to Memphis at 9.. But even though they'd probably like to trade back.. I don't think anyone will, maybe they could trade back one pick to the Jazz comfortably. Get an extra future 2nd. Seeing as how the Jazz would probably like to have Carter if he's there at 9. Then Memphis I'd think will take Ware.. I'm not sure you trade back with the Bulls, or OKC. Because they may very well want a player like Ware for themselves. Definitely can never trust OKC lol.. They will always take what they think the high reward player will be at their selection. .
Dang, well if Houston or someone else picks Clingan, I could see Portland even going for Ware at 7.. just realized Portland had the pick 7 before Memphis.. That's just how high I am on Ware personally. I think he has the potential to be a very good player.

Need a wing defender. Move up for Ryan Dunn or out with spare parts for someone like DFS.

Not a big fan of Dunn, to be 21 and still has not developed a shot speaks g league or overseas. I’d take Mogbo over Dunn any day, better and more physical rebounder, just as strong defender and more advanced scorer on the wing. Hell, I’d take Bridges over Dunn. Can’t hope for much with 2nd round picks, but if we keep either 49 or 50, I’d grab best shooter in second round in Cam Spencer.

Or trade away a couple player's like Jackson and Brown. Sign Drummond or Marshall. Then draft accordingly. We still don't know what Walker can give us at SF.. Then if Obi comes back, which I hope he does.. Idk where that leaves us with Walker. Or could trade someone for a higher pick. Maybe that's dumb.. lol but I think there are some guy's who will be really good player's. Some who are underrated in the mocks. Like I think Ware could go as high as 9 to Memphis, but if they think they can trade back to get him they will.. but I wouldn't go back too far.. Because any team should want a 7'0 stretch big who can Rebound and shot block with good mobility.

Omg people Jarace is our wing defender if Carlisle puts his ego aside & just plays the kid-this draft’s prospects are pathetic
