🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟
The protagonist, Jin Sakai, is the head and sole remaining member of Clan Sakai and a samurai warrior. He is the nephew and ward of Lord Shimura, the jitō of Tsushima. He meets several friends and companions, including a thief named Yuna, her blacksmith brother Taka, a female warrior named Lady Masako Adachi, renowned Kyūdō archer Sensei Sadanobu Ishikawa, merchant and con artist Kenji, Buddhist warrior monk Norio, Clan Sakai's elderly caretaker Yuriko, and Jin's childhood friend and leader of the infamous Straw Hat rōnin, Ryuzo. The main antagonist is the ruthless and cunning General Khotun Khan of the Mongol Empire, cousin of Kublai Khan and grandson of Genghis Khan.

That was kick ass! I have to be truthful, though.... his horse dying was a little sad; he even buried it afterward to show respect. If not for him and his allies, I'm pretty sure that would have gone the opposite way.
It’s interesting how Shimura admonishes Jin for spreading terror in the Mongol ranks. When you think about it, that’s kind of how samurai fought. The masks some wore were likely meant to intimidate their enemies. Japanese arrows made a loud whistling (almost screaming) noise when fired. And sending Masako’s husband to duel their leader, as well as Jin and his uncle trying to find and kill him on the beach, was no doubt meant to demoralize the Mongols. So if you think about it, Jin is fighting the Mongols like a samurai might. Just in a different fashion.

Great game, but I hate the philosophy of all kills made from secret are cowardly. If a guard sees me and then raises an alarm that gets hostages killed, then that philosophy cost them their lives. It's dumb. Jin's uncle has no honour. He wanted him to pin the blame on Yuna. He's happy to accept his freedom but criticizes Jin for his methods.
It’s not that his uncle has no honor, it’s that it’s all that matters to him. But that’s how it was in Japan. Probably up until the end of WWII. Better to die than retreat, even if the odds were overwhelming. And supposedly, the samurais’ style of fighting actually made the Mongols laugh when they invaded. But the combination of the Japanese spirit and the kamikaze storm that sank the second invasion fleet led to the Mongols deciding to leave Japan alone.
This may sound nitpicking but the hand in 8:55 is off-putting. Like ps2 graphics. I wonder why the cutscenes in this game aren't as beautiful as expected.

Bruh, at least play with Japanese voices lmao. Really breaks the immersion. Looks nice and crispy on PC, bout time there was a good port.
