Ljubljana Castle Tower in Beautiful Slovenia With Panoramic View September 29, 2023

I visited Ljubljana Castle on an Overseas Adventure Travels tour during my recent adventures to the Adriatic Region. I made this a personal stop during my free time and I was truly rewarded with a most spectacular view of the city from above Ljubljana. I purchased ticket for the castle and funicular rail ride to the castle area. The fee for both was most reasonable and allows you a ride to the castle area and view all the exhibits as well as have access to the best views of the city. You can also access the castle main areas without having to pay a fee as well as you can walk a pathway to the top of the castle area. The path is a little narrow and steep as well as not paved.
The castle was once a medieval fortress and probably constructed in the 11th century before being rebuilt in the 12th century. The fortress is used as a cultural center today with numerous exhibitions found throughout! It was a great place to visit and definitely one for best overlooking the beautiful city of Ljubljana, Slovenia. I would strongly recommend when visiting the city!
