Speaker, Kamil Khan Mumtaz is a practicing architect, educator, author & pioneer in the movement for the conservation of architectural heritage, Kamil Khan Mumtaz has been a leading influence in raising standards of architectural design in general and in the search for a contemporary, appropriate architecture for Pakistan responsive to climate, economy, and materials yet rooted in the indigenous.
He is the founding member of the Lahore Conservation Society and was awarded the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan in 1993, for his services to architecture.
