  • More than a third of millennials now approve of communism. Dennis Prager discusses why this disturbing fact is a result of the poor education system. Students today are not taught to understand the evils of communism and why it is a dangerous ideology.

The implementation of a socialist system, collectivization, and a centrally planned economy is supposed to eventually lead to a true classless stateless communist society.
Unfortunately that pesky thing called human nature and it’s unyielding bloodlust for power leads to the same powerful hierarchy that they loathe about western civilization. Only it’s centralized to one party and most times, one person. Because there will always be dissent, violence and revolution go hand in hand.

I'm surely not a fan of socialism and communism, same as capitalism, is just an ideological utopia which can never exist but you should at least read what the founders of those ideology wrote in their own words before you condemn their ideas. Which in fact, both sides do: as little as Marx ideas had to do with any form of so called "socialism" (UDSSR, DDR, Venezuela etc.), as little has anything today to do with "neoliberalism". Pretty much every economic theory is based on an idealised picture of human beings, which isn't compatible with reality and so their ideas are foredoomed from the beginning.
Instead of learning stupid mathematical formulas in basic economics at college, the should "force" students to read at least 20 basic economic books of different directions and even this would just touch the surface; because even Marx (at least in case of socialism; you could make an argument against communism) and Hayek (same as Smith, Mises, Friedman etc.) argued on the same assumption of shortage, which isn't true in parts of the economy anymore but neither of them thought about it, not to mention came up with a solution. I only know a handful of economics who are thinking about this and these are not the guys you see in media that often.

The largest failure of the education system was telling people that they must have a college education. When 80% of college graduates never work a single day in their majors, that means that they learn their actual jobs the same way as a high school graduate does. And yet they lost at least 4 years to these high school graduates and end up working for them and carry a staggering tuition bill. People like Obama who said that everyone should go to college are themselves lovers. If you believe that Obama made his fortune honestly I'm sure you also believe in the tooth fairy. Is that someone you want to emulate? Does one person in this entire world respect Biden. He has done nothing and never will. Do not allow ‘30 pieces of silver’ to be used to betray our country. Choice is the kiss of death. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos is serving up America’s kids on a tax-credit scholarship platter. The future of the Republic hangs on the edge of political upheaval. Tax-Credit Scholarships are “the Trojan horse” of today. (Iserbyt). The vote for Socialism is near. The movement toward a managed economy is accelerating with the loss of sovereignty at the federal, state, and local government levels. Elected officials will be pushed out leaving only unelected councils. States’ rights will be shattered. No one will realize the havoc this will cause to our nation until it is too late.
Betsy DeVos’s mantra of freedom are words that have no meaning. They are lies.
Representative government will be destroyed by eliminating your locally elected representatives.
Title I Schoolwide benefits ALL children not just poor children.
Federal Tax-Credit Scholarship money goes directly to parental ESA’s eliminating states’ rights to control the budget.
Property rights will be revamped by redistributing tax money from wealthy school districts.
Your tax money follows a child directly into other schools or to other school districts that will regionalize your tax base called Title I supplement not supplant.
Children will be psychoanalyzed and conditioned toward global citizenship.
Tax free money for business and industry to access our children as a commodity will have a 100% tax write-off that is staggering.
This vision will destabilize education, destabilize the equity in your property, regionalize your tax base, and collapse the public school system in favor of Common Core, CHOICE, and charter schools forced on ALL schools.
This plan will ultimately control private and religious schools, day care centers, home schools, and charter schools creating a federal taskmaster (ombudsman) for all schools when the Tax-Credit Choice Scholarships are passed in the budget.
Betsy’s plan is to collapse Blaine Amendment bans on public funding of religious institutions while she welcomes religious schools with open arms enabling them to accept public money but controlled by the federal government.
Your neighborhood school will be turned into a charter school under a charter management system once our tax system is regionalized. All teachers will be hired from the state level since elected school board members would be removed from their positions when public schools fail financially and they are forced to match 50% of funding for all scholarship children who enroll in other schools, school districts, or another state.

-English: we read a disproportionate amount of literature about slavery and segregation.
-Science: we learned that humans were singularly responsible for destroying the planet.
-History: learning about American history was synonymous with learning about societal racism.
-Math: we learned why "strong independent women" needed to go into STEM.
-Humanities: we spent the least amount of time possible studying Western Civilization.
-Economics: we spent a disproportionate amount of time studying Keynesian (government interventionist) policy.
-Civics: we learned that politics was about "who gets what" and how minority voters were being "suppressed" with voter ID policy.
Need I go on? The real indoctrination does not take place in universities; college is just the cherry on top. Young people are leftists because they are indoctrinated to be leftists beginning in Kindergarten.

At one point he said "You can compare two countries with different governments - who are you to decide that one form of government is better than the other? That is a very complicated subject." One of the students said no, it is not complicated. "All you have to do is compare the number of people trying to get in with the people trying to get out." From what I've researched it's been an engineered decline of our society, starting with the educational system that has been infiltrated by communists/Marxists since the 20s or 30s when the German communists from the Frankfurt School came here with their agenda to do just that. Their theory was that a small amount of them would teach/radicalize at our universities and their students would go on to teach/radicalize even more, multiplying each generation and getting their cultural marxism/political correctness to take root like a disease until the time we were so transformed socially that we'd be ready for real communism. They played the long game, and knew they'd probably never be alive to see it, but they were patient. And in case others claim it a conspiracy theory, it's documented. Just read up about the Frankfurt School

My schooling was 1960s-70s and in History and Social Studies, Communism was definitely discussed but I wouldn't say that even then it was in-depth. That said, there was a lot of knowledge and information that we all shared in common from our parents and just general awareness of what happens in the world. By the time we heard about it in school, most of us already had a fair idea of what that was all about. Fast forward to 2002. I found myself having to learn a new line of work OJT. I get paired with a kid who was 23 at the time and about 40 years old now. He had a tattoo on his shoulder of a man running with a hatchet in his hand. This was a culture thing amongst young folks for a while. Related to a pair of white rappers I believe. The face on the tattoo was distinct and could not be mistaken for anyone else. It was Vladimir Lenin. I asked him if he knew who the face was and he replied he had no clue. He didn't know who Lenin was and even less of what he represented. Somewhere there are other old people like myself laughing to themselves about that kid's tattoo.

I’m a Millennial, and I don’t support Communism. However, there are things older Conservatives need to understand. A.) Millennials aren’t young college kids anymore. The oldest are turning 40 in 2020, and most of the generation are in their 30’s, and have been paying taxes and bills for a while.
B.) From kindergarten to 12th grade, we’ve been brainwashed to go to college. Universities get to charge whatever they want, and they know they will get the money because the students have been told since kindergarten that they HAVE to get a degree and the Feds keep giving kids who don’t really understand the full concept, loans that those degrees will never get said kids into job that will ever generate the money to pay them off very easily. And then on top if that, housing has never been more expensive. Where are the starter homes? Where are the inexpensive apartments? Where are the starter homes and inexpensive apartments in a reasonable location to quality work that will still generate the money to pay for such things?
If you were a middle aged person trying to raise a family, but struggling with massive amounts of debt and not able to or barley able to pay basic bills connected to living, and some politician came along and said they’d make it all go away if you voted for them, what do you expect most people would do? Conservatives need to do better than lecture and ridicule if we are going to stay a Socialist free country.

As a fellow millennial, yes. What he said. Our generation has been severely mischaracterized without any effort to understand our circumstances. It has become a very tired stereotype.

All those things disappeared because of Democrats. Think about it. Where are the affordable homes? Well, the prices of homes got inflated because of the Democrats push led by Barney Frank to expand Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and the Democrats policy to revoke banking powers from banks that didn't make subprime loans. Thus, you had a huge run up in real estate prices. Then, Obama, spent close to a $1 trillion so that housing prices stay inflated when he tried to bail out all these people who purchased homes with mortgages they couldn't pay off, thus keeping housing prices inflated. They didn't correct enough to meet market forces. Then you have these Democrats wanting a $15 minimum wage. Well, now people making more money means they have more money for rent which also keeps rent prices high. All the while, it makes everything less affordable for those on fixed income such as social security, disability, or welfare. I know that since 2014 in NYC when they started incrementally raising the minimum wage to $15 in 2019, I know my cost of living has increased about 40% in those short 5 years, and I don't spend money on anything new than what I spent money on back in 2014. I went to see episode 7 in 2015 and it cost me $16.99 and when I saw episode 9, the price was $28.99 in the same theater which is due to minimum wage increases.
And Democrats lie about giving free money. How are they going to pay for it? Think about the cost of these programs. If add up the total wealth of all the billionaires in America, it only adds up to a fraction of these costs. Their total wealth is $2.9 trillion. So even if you take everything away from from and they are all left with $0, that is $2.9 trillion. So in the example of medicare for all, how is $2.9 trillion going to pay for it. The lowest estimate is about $3 trillion a year claimed by Bernie Sanders, but the average estimate by economists is close to $5 trillion a year. So how is taxing the billionaires even at 100% going to pay for medicare for all when it can't even pay for one year of the program? Well, to pay for it, your taxes will need to go up to 70, 80, 90% And if you are paying those tax rates, who is going to pay for free colleges? The billionaires all have $0 now since you taxed them at 100%. So are you now willing to pay 99% in taxes and then pay your state and local taxes taking it above 100%? And then add in these programs like the Green New Deal. Where is the money going to come for that? Take away everyone's houses and everyone's cars, and everyone's computers and sell them to foreigners since no Americans would have any money left?

Bernie Sanders talks about Swedish Socialism. In fact in the late 1980’s Sweden almost collapsed financially under a plan that Sanders wants to implement here. Take a closer look.
Sanders would cause socioeconomic collapse here in the United States.
And if you look into his background he has definite leanings towards a Communist style of government. To him big centralized government and the destruction of privatization is a high priority for him. It’s an easy sell when you’re using emotional rhetoric that promises a free lunch. In reality, that lunch plate becomes empty pretty fast. Read history, do the math.

    • @rxlxviii

@@machia0705 It is a lie used by Sanders to get people to accept socialism. He tricks people into thinking social programs is socialism. Socialism is the government control of the means of production. And yes, he does definitely adhere to this principle. You can even see his staffers want more of Soviet Union state style run socialist government where undercover videos caught them saying conservatives (or basically anyone who doesn't agree with them) be either be imprisoned for reeducation or executed. And then you also see another staffer saying we can let property owners keep their homes for now because they want to gradually bring it in where the government owns everything. And who are the people who succeed in socialism? Only those in government because they own everything. That is why Putin is the wealthiest man on the planet (with some estimates having his net worth as high as $1 trillion) because he seized for himself everything the former Soviet Union government owned.

Ultimately the brainwashing in learning institutions by Leftists has crippled critical thought. And with Political Correctness guiding speech, it’s all about thought control. So in summary sheep are being led to slaughter by emotional rhetoric. This phenomenon has happened before in history. Any thoughts on how to reach the masses to take another look at things ?

We never discussed improving the students knowledge or character. If you mentioned character, it was an offense that got you wrote up for not going with the curriculum. Changes to curriculum never happened except to benefit a special interest group.

I’m so glad I made it to retirement. The worst part of my job was working with young people. I was a printer and had a crew of three helpers. All college educated and for the most part useless. I had to check everything they did or it was wrong. They couldn’t even count or read simple instructions and get it right. Their entire existence revolved around their phone. That’s all they had. Other than that they lived at home or with a group of friends. Most did not have a car and had to take a bus or ride share. They did not care about how much they made. They had no incentive to move up in the company. They did not care about heath insurance or forming a union to get better benefits. That’s because our government provides what American companies should. Every Walmart store costs the taxpayers about a million dollars in entitlements for workers. Yet the Walmart family is worth billions. This is already a socialist country. People no longer care about hard work. They have a you owe it to me mentally. That’s because they had no upbringing. Mom and dad were out chasing the American dream which no longer exists. The only thing that will save this country is to bring back unionism. Make corporate America provide jobs that can support a family. Relying on government to provide basic necessities is a mistake. A government big enough to provide everything you need is strong enough to take everything you have. If you were to put grafts of the decline of the middle class over decline of unions they would match perfectly.
