Dev Patel wrote, directed and stars in "Monkey Man," a revenge thriller that delivers visceral fights and gunplay while grappling with some heady themes: "religion and faith and politics and identity and trauma," Patel says. Producer Jordan Peele championed the film behind the scenes, moving it from a streaming release on Netflix to a theatrical release by Universal Pictures on April 5.
