This Is Why Sarasota, Florida Is The Best Place To Live ✈️ 🏝🏠

In this video, I am going take you to Sarasota, Florida - the best place to live, and show you why Sarasota is the best place to live in the US. So what makes it so beautiful and so unique? How did I find this beautiful place to visit? My son James came here when he was 15, and studied in a basketball academy for 3 years here. So this place becomes a very memorable and special place in his heart.
We flew from Las Vegas to Tampa, Florida, it’s a 4 hours short pleasant flight, and with Australian driver’s license, it’s easily hire a car from Tampa airport, and drove 1 hour down to Sarasota.
Sarasota is not big, just a small coastal city, with beautiful beaches, and easy lay back lifestyle, and easy traffics.
We stayed at this up market Westin hotel right at the city centre. The hotel is not big, but it has everything you need, a roof top bar and a swimming pool, and 2 nice restaurants. When you are travelling, a good sleep in a quality hotel is so important, and it gives you good energy and vibes for the next day.
As a first time visitor, I cant wait to explore things. I visited Ken Thompson park, which is only 15 mins drive, it’s a great place to relax, picnic, or sit down to enjoy the beautiful bay view and city view.
Sarasota city is only small, but it has this modern and luxurious feeling. When you are in city centre, you have this Sydney’s eastern suburbs feeling, cosy and rich. It also has different restaurants for you to enjoy and relax. The restaurant Kojo is like a united nations, it has a bit of everything, it has Chinese, Japanese, American steak to Mexican tacos, but a bit pricy though.
If you are a shopaholic, St Armonds Circle is a must visit, and it’s right next to the Lido beach, so it has this cosmopolitan and seaside lifestyle feeling.
If you want to buy a house closer to the water, it’s very expensive. You are looking at anywhere between $10m - $15m. And if you are rich and famous, you will most likely live in the exclusive island called Bird Key. It’s a gated community with luxury houses.
The most attractive place, no doubt, it’s the Siesta Key beach. It’s just so beautiful - the water, the sand, and the sheer size and distance.
One thing I do find it interesting - there is very few Asians there. Maybe the city is too small, or maybe there are not enough high-rise buildings. However, it doesn’t matter, I enjoyed it, and I love it.

Was planning on moving down, but it priced me right out of the market the way everything is skyrocketed. No worries though I’m saving a ton and I’ll just continue to snowbird and keep renting my little studio air bnb in Fort Lauderdale for 80 bucks a night.

Don't say it's the best place to live if you don't live here! Unfortunately the media has fed this narrative and people in the last few years have come in drove, pushing price through the roof and polluting beaches and habitat. Traffic and infrastructure are a mess. There's a saying in Sarasota, it takes an hour to get from Sarasota to Sarasota. Has some of the lowest rating schools, most expensive healthcare and lowest paid jobs. Yes probably if you live on Bird Key it's great. BTW majority of those wealthy homeowners only live there seasonal. Too hot rest of year. Agree nice place to visit.

Try living in New York it’s 12.75% overall tax Florida is 6.6% overall. It’s just inflation effecting everywhere.
