Verdigris is the scientific name for Copper rust btw. The proper definition is a bright bluish-green encrustation or patina formed on copper or brass by atmospheric oxidation, consisting of basic copper carbonate.
So the gold trims aren't gold

Could be just me, but maybe the “room for error” depends on if something would matter in real life. For example, the tires had a lot of wiggle room but in real life they probably wouldn’t be too worked up about how clean they are. Just a random thought
Nah because wings need to be very clean to reduce drag and it gave him a massive amount of room for error

A lot of aircraft antennas are actually wing shaped for aerodynamics. Also, the Static Wicks are used for static electric discharge. The static building up comes from the aircraft flying in the atmosphere so the discharge is necessary to prevent equipment interference.

A static tip or whatever it’s called when lightning strikes the plane it’s meant to go out of those so everything does not shut down and the plane doesn’t crash and it looks cool when uh The plane gets stretched and goes out of those it looks really cool but that’s what those static tips are for to make sure the plane doesn’t crash from lightning.
I’ve not watched your videos in a while but glad to see your still making them. Have you moved , it’s like your accent has changed slightly? This game looks cathartic and therapeutic.

Dunno what vertigris is but I do know that gold can't rust as it doesn't bond to oxygen, That's one of the main reasons it's so valuable.
Edit: Apparently vertigris is copper rust so I guess it's a copper/gold alloy or something.

A static Wick is used to conduct lightning and static electricity off of the airframe in a safe manner.
The devs got the name of the static wick on the aircraft correct, but the "cleats" on the boat are actually called "Sampson Posts". Terminology police, I know ... but I'm a professional sailor, I can't help myself.

Static wicks allow the build up of static electricity or charge to be released. The build up occurs because collisions with air molecules at aircraft speeds causes a lot of friction. That friction causes a charge to form on the aircraft. You can think of it like putting socks on and rubbing your feet on a nice carpet. When you touch someone else, you both get zapped. The charge you have built upon yourself is discharged into the other person. The static whicks prevent that build of charge.
They are important and some pilots will not fly if they are missing one (or they fix it ASAP)
