Turkey has no rights to the island since Lausanne Treaty. Cyprus is an independent EU state occupied and divided by its " guarantor " against international law and your famous Guarantee treaty

@@bodoslama3567 yes the ottomans defeated the Venetians and the Greeks and allies defeated the ottomans and they signed the treaty of Lausanne which the Turks renounced all claims to cyprus. In return the Bosporus was given to the turks which prior was a free international passage way.

Massacres by Greeks of civilians are recorded by foreign press, including entire villagers shot and thrown in wells and mass graves. They were later exhumed under watch of foreign press for proper burial. Hands had been tied. In the '50's Greeks murdered UK soldiers and Turks, with Greeks holding the upper hand in numbers and stronger means of guns etc.
Greeks held on to the dream of 'Enosis' --unifying Cyprus and Greece--, in which have made feeble attempt in 1974 when Turkey halted all Greek forces.
It is well documented also that Greece abandoned Cyprus Greeks when Türkiye acted in 1974.
In countless videos, Cypriot Greeks are quite venomous in expressing non- support they were promised by Greece but never received it.
