Early modding of CB: "Place nitro everywhere, should be fine" CB modding in 2020: "New crates, new levels, potentially new mechanics, custom warp rooms, new gems..."
You guys are pushing the modding scene for this game so far it's unbelievable. Five years ago even placing a single crate was an achievement, now you're pretty much creating a new game. To say this is impressive is an understatement. Keep up the good work.

i see Twinsanity crate and some other hybrid crates, Neat. Also switch crate?! Oh god... im having bad flashbacks of Super Mario World rom hacks and their On/Off blocks levels... **shudders**
During lockdown, I've been drawing Crash Bandicoot levels on MS Paint and some of my custom crates include hologram boxes that can only be activated by Coco's laptop, and stone boxes that can only broken by Crunch's version of the belly-flop (a groundpound with his metallic arm). There's also a red question mark box which acts like a TNT but when it explodes, it gives you wumpa fruits and/or lives.
That's how i imagine uka uka in crash 4, helping cortex in his gameplay And 2 uka ukas would be purple (when they released the first gameplay of ctr nitro fueled, uka uka had a purple effect), and the invincible could have the same music as ctr, or with your criativity, any music
Glad that the Crash Modding community has decided that C2 was the engine to do all of the modding on, like C3 is great but the abilities make it stupid easy to get through levels. C2 is the most balanced for sure.
I think the POW crate should have Crash do the mine explosion animation if it blows up with him on top of it. & when he’s in close proximity, just have him bounce back a bit like a locked warp room from Crash 3.
As a life long crash fan i can not understate just how phenomenal this is. You (as well as everyone else involved) are absolutely amazing. Keep it up! Youre making an old grumpy man very happy lol

The crash modding scene going crazy right now. This stuff is absolutely insane! I hope one day, Vicarious Visions will do the Sega things and invite some of these talented mod and texture creators to be apart of future crash projects.
I get this probably doesn't mean much coming from someone who doesn't know anything about Crash Mods, but I wanted to say what you've cooked up here looks absolutely amazing. My mind has been racing with level ideas. Here's hoping this takes off; I'd love to see new levels or even entire new adventures for PSX-era Crash! I subscribed.
@@nikbad7597 Along with the Big Nitro crate…I can already guess what that crate does, but strangely still want to see Crash trying to touch it (and blowing up).
defs need some artists to make some of these fit more with the Crash aesthetic but from a technical standpoint these are incredible additions to the game
These new custom items and boxes are really cool!!! I love them so much. I really wish have the mod for Crash 2 and 3 but I do have the PS2 and I also have those games too. But don't have the ability to make these mod because I don't have a mod editor.
Everything is great! May I suggest something? I think you should put cortex's hurt voice from Crash Bash whenever he takes a hit with uka uka equiped, and replace the falling/dead scream with the "kuung!" hurt voice frum CTR, BTW the falling scream it's cool for cortex falling into a pit. Oh! And i also want to say that your work is amazing! :D love it!
Nice, On/Off Switch Block/Crates. @airumu, you should make your own full Crash 4, because you are full of creativity, originality, and innovation. Keep the amazing work up 😊😊😊.
Some cool crate ideas here... but there are some issues I have with a few: - The function of the POW crate makes sense and in how you've altered it, but the use of it is situational and kind of useless (which is why it was removed in the first place). It might need some additional thinking and tweaking to be made fully functional and usable... maybe with Semi-Reinforced crate puzzles? - The Reinforced Fruit crate falls into the same category as above. Their function - when complete - is primarily outclassed by the Arrow Crate. So why have it when you can just use the already existing option? - The Golden Wumpa Fruit crate will work in *It's About Time* since that game will have a focus on collecting Wumpa Fruit... here it just serves no ideal purpose. Maybe if it was possible to make it not count towards the goal reward, then you can stash a bunch of them in hard-to-reach/obscure places to make them feel like a REAL reward. - I still don't quite understand the point of having a 1 Second TNT crate. I mean, how is it any different to having a Nitro crate you can bounce off of? Why not just do that instead? (Reinforced Nitro Crate, perhaps?)
- The POW crate is useful enough as it is, it can be uses to make some puzzles and the picking up items is a unique feature. - The Arrow crate allows you to adjust the height you can jump when stepping on, but not the Reinforced Fruit crate. - It's possible to make it not count, so you can hide it somewhere in the level. :) - That's because I thought the 1 second TNT crate was visually easy to understand.

That'll make it a really great reward! - Maybe try both and see which works better. Well, Lani-Loli's power in 4 is basically the Switch Crate at 0:28, only without a crate to trigger it, so that's close enough!

The best detail is that Uka Uka has his CTR get sound instead of just Aku Aku like Twinsanity

Pow crates could be instant explosion when jumping on, they would be a lot more usable in puzzles
