What a standup parent. Wouldn't let his kid just play the game and instead got their coach reprimanded, the possibility of their team being expelled for the entire season, and now is looking at criminal charges. You really showed your son how to be a responsible adult.

@@user-eg2fh9pj5t the opening active term was "should have". He should have been surrendered to police in damaged condition after being forcibly restrained by every other able-bodied adult male in attendence. He should have been charged with a felony, since the possibility of potentially crippling and/or lethal brain or neck injury is always present when an unpadded, unprotected, and unprepared individual is knocked or thrown to the ground, especially from behind at speed.
He should have gotten at least a year in prison so he truly understands how friggin' stupid he is. He should have been sentenced to 10 years, by rights.
The kids should be banned from the game as well, seeing as he tried to physically attack the much smaller referee over a foul call his behaviour indicates he was clearly guilty of, having to be held back by his teammates, and also just had to chirp some trash at a now concussed referee lying on the ground while the punk's dad stood over him after blindsiding a guy half his size. His teammates should be furious at him for what he and his father have done to their tournament hopes. His schoolmates should be furious at him for the shame he brings upon them. His collegiate aspirations should be dust in the passing wind.
All of that should have happened. It did not. All of that could have happened, but someone in authority chose not to do their job. All of that would have happened had someone in authority done their job properly.
