  • Walkthrough unboxing and installing two 3’x8’ and two 4’x6’ Garden in Minutes Garden Grid Watering Systems with 17” and 4”/lay flat manifolds. Very fast to assemble, no tools necessary and easy especially when they are warmed up in the sun. The Garden in Minutes Garden Grid Watering System is a great system that eliminates many watering issues from hand watering, drip system or a sprinkler system. It is proven to last for years out here in the Arizona heat and UV.
This video is not sponsored. I bought these because they are high quality products that eliminate many of the water problems I have encountered in the past.

    ADDITIONAL TIPS:
    1. Read all instructions (pictured in video).
    2. Use a clean surface for assembly. Avoid debris getting caught inside and potentially blocking a hole from the inside. Lay a blanket or sheet down instead of concrete. I used my driveway because of the contrast so it is easier to see on video, but don’t rough up your grids on concrete.
    3. Lay the pieces out in order.
    4. Read the instructions again and double check your layout.
    5. Then assemble.
    6. Enjoy!

We are too! I know the grids will make it through the heat, but will the plants? ;-)

How long do you water? Any idea what the output is?

There are a few factors to consider: how deep you need/want to water, how well draining the soil is, the PSI of water to your house, how many you want in series, mulch etc. As for me, I have one large in ground bed and there are two raised beds. Both have two garden grids in series (I only one run pair at a time). I also run them so that the grids don't criss cross--I'm trying to even the watering distribution across each square. I water 2 minutes on, 2 minutes off and another 2 minutes on in the morning--every other day until we get to 108F or so. My home PSI averages 55 psi and with the medium flow rate I water each set of garden areas 14.5 gallons in that 4 minutes. I also use 2" of mulch now, which I didn't last year, so that's helped keep the water in the soil as well. I also have 50% shade on the beds.
I also have a CZcams channel on leak detection so I'll admit some of this data is knowledge pulled from that area. I have a Phyn Plus on my house, which measures the water events and PSI.
I hope that helps--let me know if there is anything that isn't clear or if you have any additional questions.

Hi. I have this system and was wondering if you can tell me how to improve the pressure so that it sprays across and crisscrosses?

Can you give me a little insight into your setup--How are your grids connected to your house? Do you have them in series? For comparison, the pressure in my house is generally around 55 psi, I connect two 3x8 grids on a separate water hose from two 4x6 grids. I haven't tried 3 or 4 in series to see how well that would work because the areas are in different parts of the back yard. The two water hoses going to the different sets of grids are both 50 feet long. I have heard that some irrigation lines have too much give and other gardeners have had to switch their irrigation to hard-walled PVC to keep the pressure up.
