I swear if Austin wasn't so based, nice, and charismatic, he would definitely be canceled by now
He's like an adorable version of Larry David lol
"pull up his balls"
The fact that, as a gay man, he's scared of saying the f word 💀
you cant cancel a man who selflessly took over the show of his dear departed friend and kept his legacy alive .. to learn more just google Austin Show RajjPatel
I feel my homophobia rumbling inside, wanting to come out, every time I hear the stories of snobi Austin
I cannot stress this enough but the addition of Austin and QT truly has improved the podcast significantly. And now with with Kaya, this podcast is complete.
Austin enhances all things
Will and austin’s dynamic together is gold in any form
i actually watch every episode now
@@XingAoShen sameeee
The addition has only been the boogiest of complaining stories from Austin about petty revenge or hotels and flight problems most people will never experience. or Taylor swift gossip no one wants or anxiety sharing from QT. Idk it's a way different vibe, the direction less mess is not for me and would prefer the guest interview episodes like last week with moist
QT should do a stream where she instructs Austin to make chocolate croissants. She doesn't have to do any of it, just tell Austin what to do, and he can see how much work it is then. XD
I’d watch that. That’s a good idea.
@@genericname8727 yeah like a bake off competition would be interesting. 4-5 streamers in a proper set up kitchen and given baking tasks. Outcomes and path to it would be entertaining.
@@catsandrubber QT has done that before and it was entertaining
@@genericname8727 yeah rings a bell now you mention it. Was it just in her kitchen, was she blindfolded and Esfan was the chef? She would work it into sh*t camp and have one task a day bake off with participants suggested from each team. 2 from each team with blind testing to see who was best.
@@catsandrubber I’ve not seen that video with Esfand, but I can see that on her channel. She’s done a few cooking streams with other creators. I know I’ve seen the one with Hasan, Myth, and a couple other streamers.
Honestly I worked in hotels for years and we wouldn’t have charged him after he closed out for an error on our side. Companies just chalk that up to the cost of business. Chasing someone for 2 years for $160 ends up costing more in terms of that guest will never stay with you again. If he stayed in a high end hotel for 4 nights that easily could be $3k+ so fussing over $160 isn’t worth the effort. The last hotel I worked for charged $800/night for a base room. They’d rather have a repeat customer that run someone away. Plus it’s literally the hotel’s mistake.
YES! Exactly! Now they won’t get Austin ever to come back! Terrible business practice.
Kaya has better mic etiquette than Austin

QT and Austin really do round out the pod perfectly. Their vibe is desperately missed when they can’t make it for an episode.

I compare this to the h3 family. Each personality added helps. Has to be the right personalities.
I honestly think QT and Austin add a sprinkling of chaos that adds so much.

I agree with Austin about the hotel not charging him properly. I've worked in the food & beverage industry for years and could never imagine chasing down a customer for a mistake me or a coworker made.
He's gonna see this and justify his position on this comment alone. "The comments support me." One screenshot. 😂
@@MegaEliteAwesome Knowing Austin this will probably be the only time I defend his boujieness haha
honestly I've work in food places and same, it's like "fuck I didn't charge them for this" but it's like well that was my mistake so why would I chase them down for my error.
Yeah I’m generally on Austin’s side for these customer service things - $1200 a night and they can’t get their billing system together? That’s on them.
@@ViennaDarlingvd €1200 = $1317

To be fair Austin probably has a far higher body count of young inexperienced men than your dad would have with 4 Vietnam’s.
I'm seriously dying about that part. Dude sounds like he was stranded in a warzone in the jungle.

Austin had me dying when he was talking about having a kid 💀
Austin is out here acting like a 19th century aristocrat lol
For real lmao
100% on Austin's side on the hotel food debate. Even if it takes 2 minutes, asking someone to fill out a form 2 years later is ridiculous imo, even 2 weeks is pushing it. Could you be a nice person and fill it out and pay, absolutely, and I wouldn't admonish anyone for doing so. However, the hotel should give up after the first email.
Edit: cacio pep-nay
I’m definitely on Austin’s side ain’t no way I would pay that shit 2 years later 😂
He's rich though! And he ate the pasta
@@thefelicits but, that isn't the point. Part of your responsibility as a business is to present accommodations used and itemize all services in to a comprehensive bill. The thought being that when I'm leaving here and paying, I'm paying for all of the services I had used. And to then contact me later and say "hey, you know when you stayed a few nights and ate some pasta? Well we didn't charge you for the pasta" is INCREDIBLY unprofessional. Furthermore, how would Austin even be sure this is an authentic email? There are an abundance of phishing scams on the Internet that use email. At best it's absolutely HORRIBLE business practice by what seems to be a very high end reputable business, and at worst is a scam to steal money by gaining financial information.
@@jacobo710 yes it is unprofessional, no big company would do this, hence it is definitely not sticking it to the man. At the end of the day, if you used the service you should pay for it; or the employee who made the mistake may have to pay, and that person is probably far less wealthy than Austin is. I agree he shouldn't pay by email, he should call them up to check it's authentic first, but I think it's highly unlikely to be a scam given that he recognises the hotel email address and admits he ate the meal and was not charged for it.
@@thefelicits of course. No one is saying that austin isn't well of enough to pay the bill, however, it sounds like this place isnt some low end hotel. It sounds like they are reputable. If I remember right Austin said they are a chain. More than likely a larger hotel chain. I'm not necessarily well versed in Italian law, however, there has to be some sort of ethics issue if they would make the employee who may have made the mistake pay it. Id understand if it's some sort of mom and pop shop, but, this doesn't sound like the case at all. It's a sort of thing that if presented in a court I'm sure would hold very little to no ground. You as a company should take into account and measure how to itemize and charge someone for the services you provide. YOU as a company should also provide enough training to your employees to trust them to make such important transactions. And if you fail to take every proper precaution to ensure every service itemized and charged, then, to a certain extent is somewhere where you as a company should understand where to take a loss in income to then position and improve that system which may have failed. Weather that be; better training, a better pos system, etc.
I'd assume it's like a try and fail system. It's like he said with the self checkout thing. Even now THATS still being refined. And even through cashiers you still have errors that happen. Things that don't get charged. To inconvenience someone after the fact when they did nothing to inconvenience you is a bit out of line. I'm also not saying there aren't extenuating circumstances where certain scenarios DO warrant contact after, but, it's like you said. If that is the case they would contact you via phone or something more concrete than an email. They HAVE to have Austin's information. There's no way they wouldn't be able to go out of their way to reach out.
Man i don’t think it’s was ever that serious guys 😂 plus I feel it’s pretty unrealistic to forget to charge someone for something and expect them to pay it back months or years later regardless I think it’s was just a funny topic and situation
Just want to say I appreciate how quick the turn around is on the podcasts. Feels refreshing to listen to a podcast that is very recent instead of being recorded a month ago. Cheers!

@@rentaltoast2201 pointing to the stands, Babe Ruth style, and guessing OP is a Trash Taste listener, they do record months in advance so they never miss a week despite their crazy schedules and guests.

@@limerslimer its fair though, the fact that TT feels so outdated by the time it comes out is the main reason I stopped listening. It makes it completely impossible for them to talk about any current events without it being the same takes that came and went a month prior.
I agree with Austin about the pasta bill and I’m amazed at how many people are telling him to pay. A business can’t decide to charge you more AFTER you’ve paid the bill that’s crazy. 100% on them. also assuming it’s not a scam it’s very poor business practice
I 100% agree. Fuck them. You're valid Austin if you read this comment.
I was looking for this comment… he’s not in the wrong for paying they need to take the loss for not charging him while they had his card on file
THANK YOU! I'm literally sitting here arguing to myself about how incredibly unprofessional that sounds. It's like to a certain extent the principle is that YOU as a business have the responsibility to charge a customer for the service they got. How could one even 100% unequivocally know that this email Austin got is real? Such a dangerous way to contact someone AFTER the fact that they were given the impression they were charged for the accommodations they got.
its probably a scam made by an inside job worker or a modus operandi. Billing you from an email is very suspicious, since a lot of scam emails are like that (making you pay for something that they think you'll be guilty of, in this instance they know Austin's records from that hotel).
Austin is definitely in the right. It's not his fault they billed him incorrectly. That's the server's fault.
😂
if it was a mom n pop place i'd pay it. otherwise austin is, unfortunately, right.
@@emmd1137 Absolutely the way to think about it
yea that’s ridiculous for a 5 star establishment. they’re probably giving austin shit because he can easily afford it lmao. but c’mon YEARS??
Austin is a crazy person but I do 100% agree with him. He paid his bill they forgot to charge him, that's on them. The restaurant analogy is perfect. Plus making him fill out forms and shit is insane.

It sounds gross but dogs are also com. Vets even ask for em when dogs get aggressive while confined so they feel more at home and calm.
For a hotel of that size and quality to chase you down for a room service bill after the fact, it’s pretty embarrassing. I’d not pay and I’d send a quick email to a head of hospitality up the chain 👀

Austin's boujieness when it comes to flying is breaking my brain
how does he even make money to be this bouji
I don't understand how he's able to spend so much on flights given that he rarely streams. I guess he has the podcast too, now, but that's a recent thing.
@@sandenson He makes a shit ton of money in those few streams he does according to him. Plus he's on the more corporate end of streamers anyway that focuses on big productions rather than regular streaming. Remember that Austin has all the rights for Name Your Price, which actually played on TV. The check for that would've been insane as a showrunner. I mean G4 went broke for a reason right?
QT driving 8 hours every week to make it to the podcast is insane
This group has such a fun dynamic, I like each of them individually but together they're impeccable
This is why Austin comes in after they've started, so he'll be bullied less lol
Hasan blaming chat for naming Kaya WHEN HE MADE IT AN OPTION IN THE POLL. We couldn't have voted on it if he hadn't made it an option

True I dont even like going to fax in the states and international 💀 even worse
As an ebay seller, the few times that I've made a mistake I ate the cost, comped the customer, and moved on. I kinda agree with Austin, I could never track down a customer trying to get them to pay me when I made a mistake.
QT was in the thumbnail! No anxiety this time
I am such a foe, my favourite part of the podcast is the bullying of Austin for a solid 15 minutes minimum.
Austin becoming an instant Dog Uncle to Kaya is so pure. Much bless.
I've been binging the older episodes, so this one came out at a perfect time!
I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm on Austin's side with the hotel charges. I've worked in hospitality for awhile now and if I make the mistake of not charging for a service, food or drink I would never insist on a customer, especially one whose already paid and left, to pay for it.
I agree with Austin, if I could choose between 9 pm and 6 am, I would take 9 pm. You would get less people at the airport, it would be more quiet and you would have a chance to catch up on sleep before the shoot the next morning and be more prepaired and ready. I'm speaking a perspektive of being an introvert.
Only exception for me would be if I were travelling for pleasure. I'm not paying for an extra night at a hotel/Airbnb just so I don't have to wake up. Like if I'm taking a 5 hr flight to Japan, I'd rather leave at 6 and just start my day doing shit rather than getting to my hotel at 4 AM waking up miserable then dragging my ass out of bed and also have to pay more on top of all that.
Love the puppy additions to the intro
My god QT's intensity on the train question is absolutely hilarious
Honestly I deeply relate with QT on wanting to plug yourself into someone so they can understand what's going on in your head. Trauma can make you feel incredibly trapped in your own mind and body. With QT, I've always wished that there was a way to let doctors feel your symptoms. So many doctors ignore or downplay symptoms and refuse to treat, and I think that is why women can go to a medical tech so fast. Same with star trek medical tech.
But I would love some amazing sex tech to feel what each other is feeling.
And anything that would help stop SA. Because I don't see a large change anytime soon.
There was a black mirror episode about that, the doctor developed a fetish and got addicted to pain
@@thefelicits damn that's crazy, thanks for telling me! I liked the first episode of it, but in the second episode I was confused as to what the second episode was trying to do, so I dropped it. I've thought about restarting it. Different episodes sound fascinating, but yhe change between episode 1&2 was jarring. I think it would really help with medicine for women and POC specifically, as well as people who have a history of addiction or "look like pill seekers." So many people get dismissed or overlooked. I have chronic pain, so the way I look when I'm in excruciating pain is a lot different than most. I've been given a label and restricted. People with mental health issues like myself can also be denied as well, because I went through that too after an unaliving attempt in a dissociative state. Which didn't even put me in the hospital, but I was honest about. It makes people lie to doctors, which makes the problem even worse. And it would filter out people who do get prescriptions for abuse. It would save a lot of lives.
Was patiently waiting on this! It's set to be another good one! Kaya our here with better mic skills than Austin!
Austin's thoughts on flying times and flying coach are completely unhinged, but he's right about the hotel food. If you drop thousands on a fancy hotel and they forget to charge you a relatively small amount for a meal, you don't chase the customer down for that
