DAP VS Nitrophos | DAP and Nitrophos Fertilizers Comparison || Apna Kisan Pakistan

In this video, I would like to tell you the difference of two important phosphatic fertilizers DAP and Nitrophos. Both fertilizers are widely used in agricultural crops in order to increase crops average yield.
DAP is an alkaline in nature fertilizer that contains 46% phosphorus and 18% nitrogen innit whereas Nitrophos is an acidic fertilizer that contains 20% Phosphorus and 22% nitrogen.
pH of DAP is nearly 7.5 to 7.9 whereas pH of nitrophos is 3.5.
DAP possess ammonical form of nitrogen so its leaching losses are nearly zero whereas NP possess nitrogen in two forms: ammonical nitrogen and nitrate form of nitrogen. Nitrate form of nitrogen is more likely to leach down. so losses are high when nitrophos is used at land preparation time.
DAP solubility in water is more than 90% whereas solubility of nitrophos is 70%.
Diammonium phosphate DAP is a cheaper, cost effective source of phosphorus for crop plsnts whereas Nitrophos NP is costly.
