UL code problem is from continuously putting in unbalanced loads. To fix it, turn on its side and tighten bolt in the middle of bottom, if lose. If not lose, take out bolt to probably reveal a cracked rotor or broken sensor. A couple good video on line that shows how to do it, It's not to difficult.
This washer is tripping, I've had it now about 5 years, it isn't one that I would recommend. Of course, my extended warranty has expired..... I keep getting the UL code I've done all I can. I have this exact washer.....Don't waste your money.
The test never runs on mine. It powers on and runs (dryer) and blows cold air out of it. There was some junk in the exhaust tube, but not enough to cause any issues. Anyway, it just stopped heating and the self test will not start. Three second hold, three second off, repeat three times (and saw to do it four times in one video). The fourth press changes the diagnostic test, but it won't run on mine either way. Never really like it or that stupid washer that uses so little water that it has to be run twice some times. Thanks for posting the video though.
Two questions.....1) How do you recalibrate a newer model Maytag MVWX700XL2, after replacing the actuator (It shows the error codes on a digital screen). I can't seem to find instructions to recalibrate a newer Maytag after a repair. 2) I've done everything to remove my Maytag Bravos XL washer pulsator (some call it a washer plate)...it won't budge. It raises up about 1/2 inch and seems to hit something, like it's locked in place. I want to check for coins that may be stuck underneath. I don't know what else to try. I tried turning it from side to side, as if it's washing, but it won't move back & forth either.....not sure if that's possible with the power off. What could be the problem ??
Sorry. Not much to say. I put in diags mode to prove to a potential buyer that it was functioning properly. I decided to leave the video as a starting point for people who are having issues. I also thought it was cool to be able to run the washer with the lid open.
Thank you sir. You just saved a wrench from going through a wall.

UL means unbalanced so you need to let it re balance itself or if not re distribute the clothes and if that does not work, replace the suspension rods
