Being Nepalese I get a lot of hate and dominant behaviour when I travel to India, but not all are ass holes! I have fantastic friends and people I know in India too. Don't let wrong people anywhere in the world, be it Nepal or India, make you suffer!
When it comes to driving, I can tell you both Nepal and India has almost zero traffic sense, in both of these countries it's more about driving habits than rules.
1 thing to bear in mind in Nepal while driving is, don't use uncessary horns and don't use high beam lights if there is another car in front of you. Even when you are following or crossing head to head.
Next time when you visit any country or totally different kind city, please make sure you go with someone who has already travelled or with proper knowledge and guidance.
I am sorry for your experience, whatever it was, which made you return back before time!
