Yeah, the lyric version was the correct version.. it's far superior to the one you guys watched, sadly. It's confusing.
I thought that, the I realised, that we always like a beat and poetry , which this version was, , is often left behind. This ... No music version, apart from the sounds of the waves, as a beat. Is, just a different way of approaching the same thing. Money Game... Whatever way it is performed, is a bit of a wake up call, from an artist, to speak to humanity, that will also include, in his back catalogue... lyrics like..'Take another pill boy.

You guys gotta watch his band The Big Push cover compilation its call The Big Bush I Shot the Sherrif/Road to Zion/Hip-Hop yall will love it.
On Ocean, when it came in high, that was Eden Nash. As for the part you were wondering about, Ren often samples himself, but he also has the ability to make his live vocals sound like a sample (see Genesis (live acoustic). Not sure whether he sampled himself or just sang like that here.
Humble is another song he does with Eden Nash and it’s also 🔥🔥🔥

You guys need to listen to his busking videos to really hear his singing talent. His video with the band The BIG Push I shot the sheriff/road to Zion/Hip hop is a good one that showcases his incredible vocals.

If you watched the official video (which was the lyric video you went away from), the whole first half is about the UK. And while his lyrics do paint an image of recent event (like Trump), he isn't really pointing to anybody. The whole point of the songs is that we like to point at other people and say what they are doing wrong rather than look at ourselves and judge our own flaws.
Great great reaction! I really like the improvising around stevie wonder video, which is where Ren plays the song superstious on guitar but then they mix different vocals over the top, of popular and sometimes non mainstream, it really showcases a different dirrection and refreshes the potential of new musical art forms. Also blind eyed angry car park attendant is an entertaining song..which show cases seizing a unique authentic video opportunity.!

Liked it guys. There's another one with Eden Nash - Humble - which is arguably even better.
When you think that Ren makes all his own beats, produces all his own records, plays all the instruments, as well as directs, or co-directs, all his own videos, all on a very limited budget (I don't think any video has cost more than £10k and most just a fraction of that) only then can you appreciate the talent of the man.
Ren said in an interview that none of his videos up until that point cost more than £1,000! The interview was after Sick Boi, Illest, before Suicide came out.

This is not the complete Money Game 2 song nor the official video ( which is killer). The official lyric video has high production quality of news clips and cultural references clips. The thumb nail has an image of an old TV with text saying Money Game.
This is an a live version. He has taken to doing live versions of his songs especially the raps. I believe he does Animal Flow live on a bus. Lots of the song is mia in this.

Each song, no matter the order, will blow your minds. From Ren check out Hunger, Genesis and Losing It (Fisher Rap Retake) to see his word skills. Check out The Big Push - I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip-Hop (get the one with Hip-Hop in the title, when in doubt go red-suspenders-Ren) and War Pigs and Painted Black. The Shell oil company started by selling sea shells. He didn't cut the eye holes, he drew them. The reason (IMO) is because he's just shown you (us) so your (our) eyes are open, so you (we) can't unsee it. However, now that you (we) see it there's not much you can do about it because we're all a part of it so we just keep going, hence he (we) just start playing the guitar again. Great reaction! Money Game Part 1 was done live with Romaine, the guitarist in his street band, The Big Push, playing guitar. It took 186 takes to get it right apparently. Oh no! You chose the wrong version of Part 2. The lyric version is so much better.

The 'Sample' is from Apple Garage Band from what I've heard in previous reactions. Ren was born, 1990, March 29th.

I think giving the guitarist eyes humanized him and made Ren look at himself & how he's just the same - point the mirror at yourself. The history of self-immolation has a long history, especially as a form of protest. If you watch the official video of part 2, you'd see Ren is critical of all political sides, in the U.S. and in Britain. In part 1 he says, "Our opinions aren't our own and we follow like sheep / There's no left, there's no right / In the middle we sleep."
P.S. "Humble" is another feel good by Ren & Eden Nash. Really worth a listen.

It was a headache and a half to figure out the source of that "Bottom of the Ocean" sample Ren's using in "Ocean", because it turns out it's been sampled used in about half a dozen other tracks in various configurations. But I finally tracked down the original. Or at least it's what the sources I could find agree is the original: “Bottom of the Sea” by Dhruva Aliman, a music producer/composer for film and television, whose credits include work for Keeping Up With the Kardashians (E! The hooded figure represents someone immersed in the money game. Ren represents judgment of the game player. When he decides to spare the life of the money game player, I think he is saying that he cannot stand in judgment as he is also playing the game. “We like to to point the blame, blame, blame. But Point the man rear at ourselves, we're all part of this old money game.”

1. THE TALE OF JENNY AND SCREECH (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) - These MUST be seen in order so the best way to do them is this version of all three which is 13 + minutes. It's best not to break up these reactions into 3 video reactions. DO NOT DO THE LIVE VERSION FIRST.
2. CHALK OUTLINES (LIVE) - with the amazing Chinchilla. DO NOT DO THE LYRIC VIDEOS FIRST.

Maybe in the future if you're not sure which version to pick of one of his videos. Because he often has multiple performances in music videos for the same song. look for the one with the most views. Look at his band The Big push I Shot the Sheriff, Road to Zion & Hip Hop. There's two versions of that one but look for the one with the most views
If you pause the video at least go back 5 seconds at the restart to allow the narrative to flow.
