- This video talks about the best drawing materials for realistic drawings. I'll tell you all the supplies I use daily when I create realistic drawings. Many of these are must have art supplies for beginners. But while these contain drawing materials for beginners, they can also be used by professionals.

Thanks a lot
Loving your videos, you're my favorite instructor on youtube :)
One question: when you make your charcoal powder, do you use hard, medium, or soft charcoal sticks? Keep up the amazing work!
I basically use Medium. But sometimes when I'm working on really dark skin, I keep the already made Medium powder batch and make a different batch with Soft charcoal. I also use Hard if I'm working on very light skin.
(Sometimes, I don't care and just use the Medium powder for everything, lol)
@@JasonLegendaryArt thank you! This was super helpful to learn!
Your videos are wonderful and great
I love your videos. Can u please show how you keep ur art supplies. Thanks in advance. I am just a beginner.
Still struggling with that, lol
Very useful video! I was wondering what things I can buy to improve my drawings. Can you do a video on how to draw realistic freckles? I don't know if you've ever drawn 'cause they're pretty rare, but if you did, I could really use some tips. ☺️
Hmm, I've never really encountered a photo with freckles. Now that you mention it, I'll do some practicing and I'll make a vid
Thanks for this 👏
Thank you too
Ето класно что есть такие люди как ты!
They looked at me weirdly when I wanted to buy make up brush😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is a great video. My friend but I have no charcoal pencil
Maybe you can get it at an art store in your area
Thanks
Amazing, thanks ❤️🙏. But what do you use to seal or protect your work at the end?
I heard of many friends using fixatives. But I've never used it. Will try it in the future tho
@@JasonLegendaryArt OK. I tend not to, but people suggest that I should. Thanks. Love your content ❤️🙏

This tools I can’t get some in Ghana when buying them on online especially the charcoal pencils
Even On Amazon? And are there no art shops in your area?
I need to know where u buy ur tools and materials especially the kneaded Eraser 😊
Just a local art shop
You can try Fiber Castle. They have really high quality pencils. They even have up to 16B with minimal shine, it will have some but not as much as other pencils.
Basically the next best thing to using charcoal. I've been using Fiber Castle for 30 years now about and I'm 49 years old.
Fiber Castle, Prisma Color, Copic, Sakura
Jellyrolls or paint pen mainly used for signing. Is the brands I get. Yes they are expensive and I'm not rich. And I'm sure a lot of you are might be broke too like me. So start with what you can afford you don't have to buy your collection all at once...Theo I would love to. But I started off with one 8 pencil Fiber castle, think that cost me $40? And a really good sketch book. For my Copic Markers that's like $6 per pen so I maybe get a 3 pack or just buy one at a time.
You can go online as well they have a chart you can print so you can keep track of all the pens you have and they are refillable. Even their pen liners are refillable and that was expensive think I dropped $60-$70 for the 10 pack from what I know they only sell it by the pack.
You get 0.03, 0.25, 0.35, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, BS (brush). You could check out Japanese brands like Sakura they make really good pen liners to plus they have thin erasers that is really good for hilights. Just going to my art supply store I can easily drop $150 and that isn't much art supplies might be less because I have a discount so $90?
Please do a tutorial on how to do draw short hair..i know you've done it before but im talking about extremely short hair..i get so presumptuous when drawing extremely short hair😭
You mean, almost bald man hair?
@@JasonLegendaryArt yes yes sir 🙏
@@kgomotsolucas1988 okay cool. Will take it into consideration
Please do sir
Do u use the hard charcoal pencil for the powder
Yeah I do
@@JasonLegendaryArt thanks
How is no one talking about that amazing ariana grande drawing?!🤯
Haha 😂😂 thanks
Pls what material do u use for the drawing
I mean the paper
I mentioned it in the Video. Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper and Pelican Card
🤣🤣🤣 I burst into laughter, when you said "I steal my sister's make up brush".
For me,I use cardboard to practice,
But if not what to draw a special potriat 😂😂 that's when I use niddle point paper
LoL
I've never liked the results of Niddlepoint, it was always too rough.
@@JasonLegendaryArt really 😲
Please show me can I get some of your tools and materials especially the kneaded Eraser ❤and the charcoal pencil 😊
Lovely
Thanks
@@JasonLegendaryArtyou're welcome
Where do you get your materials is it from Ken Joe bookshops and stationerys,
Lol, no AB Artworld
Hi maybe a silly question but you mention charcoal pencil a lot. Is that same as graphite pencil. I have Derwent graphite. Do i need to purchase specific charcoal pencil. Also how do i tell which is 4b charcoal. I want to shave it like you showed in your previous video. But mines just say soft medium or hard not sure what to use.
No Charcoal Pencils are different from Graphite pencils. So even if you have Derwent or Faber Castell Graphite Pencils, you still have to get Charcoal Pencils separately.
General's Charcoal Pencils have 2B, 4B and 6B versions. But I've also used other Charcoal Pencil brands that label theirs as HARD, MEDIUM and SOFT.
I'd like to believe that HARD is also 2B, MEDIUM is 4B while SOFT is 6B.
If you've got more questions, Feel free to ask away,
@@JasonLegendaryArt thank you so much Jason. I have learnt so much from you. In such a short period of time.
@@JasonLegendaryArt hard medium soft. I finally get it.
