The "Quick Struts" you buy off eBay are coming brand new in the box like this !! Made in China I guess. Initially it LOOKs like they are lined up, BUT IF YOU FIND when you install them that you have to TURN THE SWAY BAR EAR 180 DEGREES TO LINE UP, they they are now 180 degrees OFF AT THE TOP. You have to take them out, compress just the springs and turn the rubber part of that top mount (the longer tab) 180 around.
@@RatchetMonkey mine was by Maltings 4x4 near Doncaster. It persisted for ages despite new top mount and isolators but never when raining. I was working my way around the bushes with silicon spray to isolate it when I had to jack the car up for the brakes and on lowering it the creak disappeared, that was several months ago and it has not come back. I suspect the anti roll bar bush had been over rotated, as they often force the bottom arm down to remove the strut from the hub but the workshop procedure is to remove the strut and hub as one then disassemble it on a bench.
No i didnt do a video replacing it. No the has to be removed and stripped down to replace. If you look at the Fiat video I did its basically the same procedure.
@@lifes.projects you'll be fine...you've got a ramp now, so all you need is a stroppy receptionist and a knackered coffee machine to be officially in business...😂😂😂

I avoid the cheap parts for this reason. either poor quality or don't fit costing time and money
Another excellent video keep them coming. I always look forward to the new ones
Thanks Robin theres a few more to come!

Hi, I have similar issue on my evoque. Are you based in the UK 🇬🇧 ?
nice one easy to resolve but hard to diagnose on car well done
Cheers George!
I think my wife’s Evoque is having the same problem. Where are you based?
How much was the cost to replace once side ?
how much to supply and fit 2 front springs?
Did you do a video of you replacing it? Can it be done with the shock still in the car?
No i didnt do a video replacing it.

Sounds about right as the camver will be out if not aligned.
Excellent
Thank you
Do you still work on the Evoques ?

It could be something as simple like a drop link/anti roll bar link. They are the first thing to check
