ive crashed my 300x about 6 times , 3 had only the head / mainshaft bolt sheared . 2 others with main shaft bent and bolt sheared, the last one with the above + feathering shaft and arm snapped from blade holder. All in all, very rugged. Well ive also snapped the landing gear and nose cone but a bit of fibreglass tape and there as good as new. Very impressed, nice video compare, cheers.
Keep in mind, that with wooden blades, you will often reduce further damage to the head. You may have saved a mainshaft and/or spindle with the wood. I'm VERY impressed with how the wood blades perform in the videos I've seen. Don't dismiss wood yet... Carbon is going to just transfer more energy to the head. Hope you get it fixed, doesn't look too bad.
What a bummer. Most of the bits on these machines need upgrading from day 1. My mcpx has few of the orginal parts left which makes blades more of a spares business than anything else. They are not a great investment in my view.
For how hard ive crashed it, it is very durable. Main gears are cheap, wood blades are stupid, the canopy is fine...it isnt meant to be crashed you know, your main shaft is bent and your spindle is too.
Just my opinion but I like the balsa wood blades for micro helis, they most likely will snap before you bend a shaft or something else on the head. I know, it's an ancient video :-D
Keep'em all......I keep all my helis even my old 3.5 channels.....why.....I never want to for get what it took in effort and funding to get to Trex 600.
Wow the 300x is garbage...........the canopy barely looks like its more durable than poster paper. Heck you'd have better luck making your one canopy out of lamented paper.

the wooden blades are perfect for sport-flying, i dont understand they didnt include the cf ones.
tried the manual one, updated manual and sugestions on HF. theres a thread i made about it
yea, blades are shocking! - guess they need to keep the cost down
very true, although the carbon blades look better ;-)
the build quality isnt that bad, but i guess they make allot of money from hop-ups :D

Wood blades suck. Blade canopies suck. Other than that I think the 300 is a pretty nice heli.
