With complex (curvy) drawings it is fairly easy to trace pixel image to vector in Inkscape, import the svg output file into LibreCAD, scale it and clean up any artifacts. Then import dxf into FreeCAD

We wait patiently for the next chapters, please explain how to create the toolpath for curved (archtop body - back side of the guitar neck-tummy cut etc.) surfaces in the path module.

Is there any way to assign an image to certain datum plane? I want to make a inclined pipe with streamlined shape which I have its profile image(jpg or png) but the Image workbench of FreeCAD doesn't be seem to allow that except XY, XZ or YZ plane.

On the lower left hand side there are some values in the attachment dialogue box. These are attachment offset values that include X,Y,Z axis along with Yaw, Pitch and Roll. Now I've never had to do this (yet), but does altering them help you? Similarly this bloke in a different tutorial is dealing with datum planes, czcams.com/video/e0pvw1weSuM/video.html
Again there's a similar dialogue box to that in the first video, but this deals with the plane parameters. The attachment options allow for linear and angular adjustment around the X, Y and Z axis. (Like before, I've not got around to doing this myself yet).

@@cheesedoff-with4410 I changed placement values(angle, axis and position) of the image same as datum plane but It doesn't give me best result. The image isn't perpectly alligned with the datum plane.
I'm not sure what your reason to involve a datum plane is. In the image work bench you can create a planar image in the 3D space (2nd button from the left) the dialogue box that opens asks you to select the plane to use and allows an offset to be entered.
Once the planar image is created ,you can select it and manipulate its position just like any other component.
I suggest you create the datum plane you want ,note its coordinates and enter those coordinates into the planar image's position fields. That will put the image in the same position as the datum plane.
@@paulg3336 I've found own answer for my question. To assign an image to an arbitrary datum plane, I entered these vaules into "placement" property in the combo view window with formular editor and then the image fits perpectly into the datum plane.

How would you go about printing an image to scale? Absolutely NO ONE on the internet seems to have an actual useful solution especially for Mac users. I just want to print a 2D fretboard to use as a template.
I haven't used apple products in years, but I would guess that you could import your model to the techdraw workbench and as long as the drawing template is the same size as the paper in your printer you could print out your drawing with views at a 1:1 scale and that would do it
