- Here is my full review of the Numatic Hetty HET 200A bagged vacuum cleaner. Well made, very quiet with a long hose and cord, but not the best cleaner for carpets. Get the optional Turbo brush to improve carpet cleaning performance or look at the Henry Extra, John or Lewis variants. (John & Lewis available only from John Lewis stores or online).

Great video! I’ve just bought a Hetty and just watched your video to help me set her up correctly. So excited to have a pink hetty in my flat! No stairs to vacuum so I won’t need to lift her about. I’ve just given her a quick wizz around the lounge.... I’m so pleased ! She is soooo much better than my previous Hoover. Awesome! Thanks for uploading and all your advice 👍🏼

I have a Hetty too but with 620w motor and still comes with the old floor head while new Henry’s comes with better floor head and pick up better. It was a lot of hard work I have to admit. I’ve brought a turbine head so I don’t have to keep push the wand and less hard work. My 620w Hetty is slightly lighter than the old 1200w Henry/Hetty.
Hetty reminds me of Noo Noo from Teletubbies
we are getting henrietta soon, we have an original red henry still works but my mum as dificultes getting him upstairs so we decided to get henries twin sister, henrietta for upstairs cleaning

Some Numatics did come with the carstor wheeels and no fixed back wheels.

+mzurilove beauty & fragrances You can buy a turbo brush in red or black, but not pink to match Hetty. Search Numatic Henry turbo brush and you'll find plenty. Personally I would pick a Hetty over a Dyson DC19.

Yesterday I used my 2013 Henry HVR-200A on the stairs in my nana's old house just the hose on it and I walked up the stairs after vacuuming them and the pile was restored. I am thinking of buying the Numatic Airo Brush. Would you recommend I get one?
Yes, it improves the performance on carpets compared to the regular nozzle. Don't get the one that comes with Harry, get the turbo brush that is supplied with the Henry Extra. You can get it in red or black.

I have sisal carpet so would Hetty be good for me?
Well seeing as you own or have owned a Henry, you would be the best judge for that. As sisal carpeting should not be cleaned with an upright, you need a suction cleaner with more suction than the Hetty can provide.
ibaisaic I own 7 numatics but I like my nuvac for the sisal and like my sebo with its turbo head for carpets

You can get Numatic vacuums in the US, but I don't know if Hetty is available. Just Google it and you will find out, but I know they are very expensive over there.

It is pink with eyelashes, otherwise it is the same as a standard Henry.
Why do they not sell them in the UK anymore
They are still available in the UK, but new versions will have a lower wattage motor and a new cleaning head.

this review did me good Coz i came a cross a Hetty with is 1 with a green flower on her hat its a model het-200-12 she's a (20 20 v & a 6 wat she has the parking brake on her back) never insisted trying it coz the dam bag is full & the Hetty i came a cross is in still prisine condition i carnt even resist staying with her

I've never liked those Numatic carpet nozzles. The old style single pedal ones seemed much better.

You forgot to test how well it operate in normal, irregular in shape room, when you need to adjust hose/pipe angle. For me the hose, pipe and head is the worst part of the design. It has no locks to fix mounting in place, no easy way to adjust the angles. The design is just crude. I'd give it 2 of 5.

I have to pat my Hetty every time I pass her, she's so not an inanimate object! Now I want a kettle and a fridge with kooky eyes and eyelashes! Was at my friend's home she was mildly surprised when she turned round to see me stroking her Henry..

Hetty is not designed to be used this way. If you push forward you wil also push the dust. You should only pull towards you.
In most of the hundreds of vacuum cleaner instruction books I’ve read, the ones that give you advice on how to use the cleaner always say to push it slowly backwards and forwards. The only cleaner I have used that says you should only pull it towards you is a Rug Doctor.

@Louis Williams yeah i agree but they are more bulkier than Henry & Hetty but yes they do have more suction and are wet and dry. But George is better than Charles because he can also do carpet washing.

I regret buying it....it has the power of an airplane gotta admit that....bit its big and not ez to handle....if i wanna clean the doormat i need 6 shots of testosteron to get the job done.....ill keep it to miele.....however the power is amazing
This would have been a good review if only you hadn't made basic mistakes. For your information, all cylinder vacuums of this type are made to suck in air and exhaust them. It is obvious that in order to pick up debris of the kind that you were attempting, you must use the correct head for the job. All you were doing was pushing the bigger bits of debris along by not raising the head so that it can pass over. That was a ridiculous thing to do. I don't have a Numatic but I do use cylinders and uprights and I can tell you that even with my industrial cylinder the same occurs and I have to raise the head for the big bits. Someone of your apparent experience should know these things. It did appear that instead of reviewing the product, you were actually trying to find faults.
This machine appears to be a general purpose machine, which is favoured by builders, offices, trades men, and I can't see that they would waste their time using something which can't pick up, as in your demonstration.
You knocked it for being heavy to carry on the stairs, well guess what? If someone wants to do lots of stairs, then they either do as you did and get hose extension, get one of those vacuums which can fit on the stairs or get a very light vacuum. But here's the thing, motors are made of metal and the more powerful they are, the heavier they are.
How is this vacuum bulky? What's a normal shape vacuum cleaner?
My suggestion is that anyone wanting one of these types of vacuums should look at the different types of tools and accessories which will do the job that they want it to and use a little common sense while using it.
lol the machine without the face is ehm.... ugly. i like these machine in all the shops at my local shoppingcentre use these machines even in hospitals. all people who work in construction use these machines and they can survive alot of torture.
some men like bulky women others like stick ones I mean stick vacuum cleaners
My conclusion: People that are happy to use a Henry and claim it's the best. Also like the illusion of cleaning, rather than actual clean.
