Has to be said that as much as like Mountain Warehouse stuff, their "reviews" are absolutely terrible. Honestly sounds and looks like the day Bertie and Harriet took a look inside a tent! Now back to the castle at once Jeeves!
Indeed these reviews are written by the office junior sitting in their London office, with no real-world insight. Anyone can read the spec sheet. but to add insight that is actually wrong is counter productive. So MW don't tell us what we can read in the specs. - tell us something we don't know! - what is like to sleep in? will your feet touch the inner surface? Is there room to sit up and take of a shirt? are the zips prone to damage, can you stow your boots? Is it better/worse than a cheaper or more expensive tents in the range... and ditch the wannabe presenters who don't look like they have ever been in a tent.
the vents are to help with any condensation issues, not necessarily for if it's a bit warm in the morning. It's during cold weather when ones breath can turn to moisure on the inside of the tent, creating a cold wet interiour , not good. Always best to have plenty of ventilation. Can you sit up in this tent ? if not, that's a down side. How deep is the bathtub ? Only a quick review that's not really a review, just a look round. thanks anyway guys
Got one of these from Bournemouth, can't wait to test it. Noticed there's a 3 man version of this as well.
Thank you. I just paid £20 for this new
Inner pitch first means it will be a paddling pool by the time you sling the fly over it if you’re pitching it in the rain, I just don’t get why tents are still made with this major design flaw, oh and the orange overly long carrying straps are absolutely pointless, would be much better to have a couple of snap buckles with adjustable straps that you can use to cinch the tent up and also help strap it to your pack or rack should you wish to carry it that way
So you put the inner up first and you get piss wet through before you put the outer on ? NEXT !
Would this tent be suitable for winter use?
They are terrible, they know nothing
How much does your phoenix extreme 45l rucksack weigh?
Well that was in-depth, not.
Looks like it would be a right pain in the arse to put up in windy weather
This tent is not that good. I bought it last April and I bought new and it was in bad state bent pegs and bits missing then I went to another mountain warehouse store and got it changed and now 2nd tent is falling apart after four camping trips. This tent isn't for 2 peaple and isn't waterproof as I got soaked in it. It's not a good tent which falls apart easily. So disappointed with this tent!
How did you get soaked? Did the fly leak, or the ground mat?
@@karlkalina3022 The amount of rain fall was the reason. It just rained so much and the water got in. I should have used fabsil as that's really good stuff.
this tent is only really good for a weekend away on a camp site ,if you can deal with a couple of nights in it or give it to the kids to play in , in the garden ,the water proof rating is too low for a mountain environment , this is a cheap rip off of a real tent but once again you pay for what you get , always buy the best you can afford ,in the long run your get many more years of use
This review matches the product quality...
I own this tent and love it, I would like to replace it with the same thing, however I don’t seem to be able to find it in Canada anymore :(
are you online if you could possibly help me put it up
Is it large enough for someone whose 6ft 3?
Sorry. This tent is only available in millimetres.
Not a good mountain tent as you put up inside first si if raining you get it very wet before using. Buy one that is fly first.
Is this a 4 season tent???
No 3 season
It's unseasoned. You must provide your own salt and pepper.
@@StumpyNubs Don't forget garam masala
What the heck kind of review was that.. Was there anything good about the tent, was there anything bad about the tent..
Was there enough space ..
Condensation issues..
Too much hassle during set up..
Anything at all..??
Anything..
Inner first erection - waste of time for UK backpacking!
this is a good tent but what a terrible video.
Wow - that’s it, I not buying one …… really hard to be that irritating!
2000 hydrostatic head. Total junk. Mountain Warehouse is for people who don't really do the outdoors. Every product is cheap own brand stuff.
Blindly Going I’ve got this exact tent and used it up in ullswater in the rolling hills in very heavy rain and didn’t get 1 drop of water coming in the tent. I’ve used it about 7 times and never had 1 bad experience with it. That’s your opinion though I guess..
