The only reason a man shouldn't be a father to his kids is if he is dead. My father is alive and well, payed child support for one year cause he was forced to and cut it down to twenty eight dollars to split between me and my two siblings. Dam I'm 18 years old my dad left me when I was born he saw me and didn't even bother to hold me it sucks not having a male role in my life telling everyone about my "dad" seeing my friends with their dad it hurts it hits home but I lived without him I'm about to graduate from highschool 💯 and I never needed him and I'm glad that he wasn't in my life because he doesn't deserve to be in my life 💯 and when ever I get my own kids I'll treat them better as ever and being able to feel what having a dad would feel like

I havent lost my dad physically but I have mentally and it sucks. They are there but they show you every damn day that they don't really care. It isn't just one time you get left but hundreds of times you feel like your never good enough. They say they love you but never show it. Every birthday his girlfriend would buy me a gift, sometimes it was small because it's all she could afford but to me it was so fucking priceless. He left her and I lost the person who was basically my father. She was the one who made sure I got my homework done and that I was okay when things got rough. She perfected me from him when he got to drunk, and never blamed me because every time I thought I caused it she would assure me it was him and that stupid drink. He has a new girl now. She blames me for everything and calls me every name on the book. I went 10 months without seeing my father and was so amazing and blissful. He would text me and if feel so bad for leaving but I couldn't handle it anymore. I miss my old mum. She cared for me and I always called her mom, her daughter and son were my brother and sister. He would threaten her that if she tried to see me or talk to me he would hurt her and her kids. I've read and heard that parents talk bad about their ex and their kids hate the parent that was talked bad about, but for me I hated my dad for saying my mom was a terrible person. She's never been a wonderful mother but she gave me a place to live, clothes, food, and a school that helped toughen me up. To anyone put there feeling like it's your fault for your parents fighting or for one of them leaving or doing drugs it's not you.
i am so sorry for you. i know its worth nothing to say that, but i have experience too. please dont break on this and keep her in your heart even though she isnt there physically. just become a sucessful bitch who is gonna kick him in his ass one day and become someone he regreats to have left back then. lock him in the back of your head to remind yourself what kind of person youre gonna banish from your life from now on! thats how i did it

Erica Mondar yup..I know exactly how it feels. a lot of people tell me I don't need him, and I know that I don't, but there's just this one little part of me that doesn't wanna let go. when we got together, it was literally a dream come true for me. For most it’s not that they don’t want the baby, it’s that they can’t raise them. Money problems, mental health problems that they know they wouldn’t be able to raise a child with, lack of support, trying to get out of toxic relationships and not wanting to mix a child up in that, being too young to raise a child, etc. there’s hundreds of reasons why people give babies up for adoption and it’s seldom ever just “I don’t want this baby.” It’s usually a hope of giving the child a better life than what they could provide

There are many more people out there that are suffering through the exact same things, but just remember, "There is light at the end of each tunnel. Like the morning sun, you too shall rise and continue to shine. Sometimes, painful endings bring the best new beginning. Life is tough my darling, but so are you. No matter what you're going through
