    I love how the unit he used to rate this film was "eyes open". Now that kind of humor is badass.

    so when a fight happens, you are left in suspense until someone discusses or audibly conveys the idea of who was victorious in the altercation? that suspense has got to be even more nerve wrecking than actually seeing a fight.

    Tommy, I think you might like Stranger Than Fiction. It's one of my favorite movies, okay, maybe it's my favorite, and the writing is great. The main character, Harold, wakes up one day and hears a narrator in his head describing what he's doing, and freaks out when it casually mentions the inevitability of the death it has chosen for him. Solid acting, and Will Ferrell is unrecognizable as an awkward, withdrawn, unlikely hero.

    It's a movie that confuses anyone, but it has solid narration and some great twists. One of my favorites, beside Fight Club and Little Shop of Horrors.

    I'm so beyond passionate about Fight Club. The visuals are stunning and brutal, but the music and dialogue is equally as amazing. I love listening to the soundtrack when I'm studying. If ya'll haven't read the book, I definitely recommend that, along with any other Chuck Palahniuk book.

    • @Katchatiger
      @Katchatiger Před 9 lety +1

      Right, I missed the rest of your comment...I disagree, much is revealed in movies if you listen only to the soundtrack and it works if you mute the sound and watch only the video. Try it one time.

    • @Katchatiger
      @Katchatiger Před 9 lety +5

      I think we are looking at this from two completely different perspectives...I do appreciate the magic of movies and the entire art that goes along with it...these days I look at movies from more of an anagogic or allegorical perspective...I don't get immersed in the experience any more- it's more about picking them apart and finding hidden meanings for me...having said that I most certainly take Tommy seriously as a critic... sound is so important in a movie and when you remove the visual distraction much is revealed about the true content...even more so in these days of flashing visuals and computer generated "noise" on the screen...weeds out the bs very quickly.

      ***** You're too serious about the topic at hand. This channel's supposed to be light hearted and ironic. Maybe you shouldn't be watching or listening to Tommy's reviews since you don't seem to have any sense of humour. You're not supposed to be taking his comments seriously. If anything, you're watching to see if his judgments are as correct as someone's who has vision. It's funny because most of the time he's right even though he can't see. And it's not like his analysis' are in much detail anyway. Fuckin relax.

      +WhereTheyAre -Speaking of being objective. Someone reviewing Tommy (can't remember where) said, Tommy has inspired them to play a movie they have not seen before, wearing a blind fold. Then play it again, with sight. I said to myself, I would like to try that too. Might be fun. Haven't tried it yet, but would like to. Maybe you should too.

Also, I don't know if you would do a tv show review, but I think you'd really enjoy the new bbc Sherlock show, you wouldn't regret it. Benedict Cumberbatch plays in Star Trek into darkness and he also plays Sherlock in the bbc show. There's great dialogue and sound effects in the movies and the show, I really hope you think about reviewing them!
