Arno's story will be set in Paris on the eve of the French Revolution.
The modern day setting will focus on the Assassins contacting the player and requesting their help to explore Arno in the past, as well as helping in the present. Co-operative multiplayer missions will follow the development of the Brotherhood of Assassins during the French Revolution. In addition, "time anomalies" can be encountered throughout the city. Accessing them will take Arno to various points of Parisian history, such as its occupation by Nazi Germany during World War II.
Assassin's Creed Unity The main character of the game is Arno Dorian (Dan Jeannotte), a native Frenchman who was born in Versailles to an Assassin father. After his father is killed by Shay Patrick Cormac, Arno is adopted, unaware that his new family holds a senior position within the Templar Order, with his new father figure the Templar Grandmaster. Arno blames himself when his adoptive father is murdered, and so sets out on a quest of redemption that brings him into the Brotherhood of Assassins, where he slowly rises through the ranks, much like Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad and Ezio Auditore as seen in previous games. Arno's love interest is a Templar named Elise De LaSerre (Catherine Bérubé), the daughter of the Templar Grandmaster who adopted Arno, who also sets out to investigate more about her father's death and its role in a growing ideological change within the Templar Order that threatens its core values. Additional characters include Marquis de Sade (Alex Ivanovici), Napoleon Bonaparte (Brent Skagford) and Maximilien de Robespierre (Bruce Dinsmore).

I enjoyed it, Unity presented enough new things, refined the older stuff, and took advantage of the current processing power of the consoles quite nicely. Compared to the buggy nature of something like the previous generation's Bethesda Games (i.e. Fallout, Elder Scrolls) it was a good game.

The reason why they use a British accent is because a fluent french accent would be hard to produce and hard for some people to understand

I don't know why they never did an AC in early 14th century France. It's the perfect time: the high point of the Middle Ages, height of Templar power just before their fall, and all kinds of other events like the French king forcing the Papacy to move to France, the Tour de Nesle Affair, Isabelle of France's exile and conquest of England, the mysterious deaths of one French king after another right after the Templar trials, and the lead-up to the Hundred Years War.
It's actually the period that Game of Thrones is inspired from.

Why can't there be a happy ending in ac:
1.Altair defeated the creepy old bastard but he didn't destroy the apple which caused alot of SHIT in the future
2.Ezio lost half his family and the dumb-ass lets the evil fat-fuck whose responsible go, which caused more SHIT (WAR)
3. Connor failed in his quest to save his people from being pushed out of their land. His mentor died, he had to kill his best friend and his father. And to top it all off Desmond died too.
4. Edward started a family but although it wasn't in the game, his home was attacked by templars and he was killed. Edward's own son(Haytham)ended up a templar who was killed by his own son(Connor) and the daughter Jenny was sold to prostitution. And before all that even happened Edward lost pretty much all of his friends to the templars.
5. The women that Arno had sacrificed everything to save still DIED in the end.(That's such a dick move by ubisoft, playing with your emotions like that) THAT REALLY PISSED ME THE F*CK OFF!!
And Edward lost his best friends, his wife and his son became a templar xd
I don't see a problem with happy endings either, but in this case we're reminded in war there is always losses, sometimes we remember that, but only for our own side.
Every war is a testament to our failure as an intelligent species.

Arno Dorian was a total badass Assassin of Assassin's Creed Saga! He's my favorite. 🇫🇷 🇫🇷 🇫🇷 I loved Arno and Elise's romantic relationship. Which is why I choose my own middle name. My full name is Gerson Arno Castillo.

Am I the only one who still thinking this the best Assassins Creed ever? I mean, the parkour, graphics, physics, man, I love AC saga, and I have most of them, so I realize and I believe that this is the best AC ever made.

Shay From Rogue Killed Arnos Dad
I almost wish Shay was the antagonist for Unity instead of the Sage. It would have really left the player which side was really the lesser of two evils in the end.
Though I know both have been dead for centuries already I feel Ezio or Altair would have been perfect opponents for Shay.
Both men dedicated their lives to the Order to help protect the Freedom of the World.
Shay dedicated himself to the Templars to prevent innocent people from dying and ensure peace.
If Shay faced off against them the world would look really grey as they battled it out expressing their viewpoints of the world.

It's fine that people have different opinions, but calling it a shit game? Really? A shit game? Do you even know how much work is put into making something as big as this? You see, even though the fps might not be as good as of yet, that is just because of bad optimizing which is clearly something that can be fixed. Ubisoft is not a shit company either, and don't you dare compare it to activision, infinity ward etc because they don't even try to make a better game. However i do agree that fps drops, and generally bad fps is annoying, but it doesn't change the fact that Ubisoft has made a rather good game! Why do you think most of the big reviewers such as gamtrailers are giving this game a rather good score of 8, well because they actually know what to look for, they are not crybabies that cry over every small little thing they find that is wrong with the game. They look at the game as a whole...but who am i trying to fool, this comment won't change anything. Anyways just don't care about what people say about the game and play it yourself, make your own decision of whether this game is good or not!
The PC version of this game was a buggy nearly unplayable monstrosity that you needed a BEAST PC to run at any respectable quality! And that still did nothing to fix the bugs
Well you could play it in a good way on a gtx 780/980 x290 sli/crossfire setup, up until ubi broke the game even more.
It does not matter if the story is great, the jumping and combat system is awesome or if the graphics and design are fantastic.
It don't matter if they put 100 trillion hours into designing the and creating the city of paris, you can't run it on even a 3000$ rigg, let alone all the 400-1000$ riggs out there that want more than 20 fps at 1080p.
The game is broke in the core, it can't be fixed.
And now they want to create a London based AC game!?

Well, graphics (especially hair is awesome), animation are good, pretty good. And that's it. The story sucks, everything was started in order for just finding the bones of the final boss. They could make a game that would take no more than 1 hour. Instead of this, between the initial and final points of story they wanted to bring about the First Civilization they put French Revolution without any clues and connections to the initial purpose. More than that, the story is boring, characters are almost empty, no simpathy. I don't see any good game here.

Unity is one of my favorite AC games.
this is why I like Altair as the protagonist. he didn't fall in love with some red headed tart or gypsy girl on the road to Damascus or Jerusalem . and he gave a finger for the cause. but I really liked the story here. very well written.

If you think about it, the Templar were the good guys until the assassins stole the book and the sword. (betrayed the Templar) So the assassins basically started everything.
After a while I started to realize the Assassins aren't any better than the ones they claim are evil.

considering there weren’t much people imprisoned in the bastille at the time, the building wasn’t really maintained and staff didn’t really care much for the prisoners, so this wouldn’t be too unusual

Elise's accent is so bad... this is the first game I've played which features accents that are so out of place that I forgot the time and setting for the game. Seriously, it's like the voice recording team at Ubisoft got all their knowledge of accents from a text book and Monty Python reruns.

I think since the story progressed since long before Washington became 1st president(was that 2nd or 3rd assassin creed that i've played...) I wouldn't be surprise to see the next assassin creed to come to modern assassin vs a handgun, amg, sniper, shotgun or even a bazooka. Guess by that time the creed would have to better arm themselves.

I really don't see why there's so much hate on this game. It's fantastic! Not on the caliber of Altair and Ezio's story lines but AC Unity's amazing. I guess most people only see the glitches and bugs.
