In episode 2 we take you through some of the day to day activities like feeding, cleaning tanks, and grading fish at the Coursey Springs Fish Cultural Station.
If we're stocking fish... can we put some in the creeks around swva?? Sad creeks around here left empty. And anglers like myself second guessing renewing my trout stamp.. obviously I don't need it if there no fish stocked within 75 square miles for months
Truly! The stock around populations like Roanoke. Fishermen in the Roanoke River and Stinker Creek have been seen throwing them up on the banks. I asked them why and they said they wouldn't eat them from such waters. One person uses them to fertilize his garden.
Why did you quit stocking the lower portion of Whitetop Laurel In Washington county? Now you only stock the portions in the national forest. I am disabled and not able to hike like I used to. Now I have pretty much zero chances of catching trout. Before I could park right next to the stream and fish. Not now. No reason to buy a fishing license anymore. Same with some of my friends and neighbors.
Thanks for your hard work. I enjoy fishing the roanoke area and all over the western part of the state.
Please tell us what you feed trout?
@ 1:10 Larry the cable guy showing off his prized trout.
