  • In this video we use another common house hold item to make a cool marble effect! If you airbrush, you can do it too. Hope you enjoy. And always be on the look out for things you might be able to find new uses for.
Stay safe, cozy and creative my friends.

The key to making this work, whether using baby wipes or dryer sheets, is to make sure that you only pull the material apart along one axis. That way, you end up with parallel stripes, and no big blotches of color. Best of luck with your future videos!

But real life marble doesn't look like parallel stripes

@@inquisitor_snake You're absolutely right: Marble does not look like parallel stripes. Neither does the technique I described. "Parallel stripes" was a poor choice of words. If you use the technique I described, you will distort the "parallel" lines enough that they will appear very bumpy and randomized. Just like a marble vein. When you layer 2-3 colors over the top of the base color, the pattern will look exactly like marble. The key is to pull the thing apart slowly, steadily and gently at multiple random points.

If you don't have an airbrush, you can make this work by stippling with a (very) dry brush, as long as you get the dryer sheet secured down quite tightly. You can also do one pass with a less-pulled apart sheet, let it dry, remove it, and do a layer with a more pulled-apart sheet to get some more varied color tone.

Would be cool to see how it turns out with that method. Its always good having hand painting options for those without an airbrush. Thanks for sharing :D

Yeah, I have a RG Z'gok I need to build and I have a couple HG ones I used for paint projects before on this channel so people might get sick of seeing more of them haha but I really love them. Haro is a great option or actually the bearguy is great too cause I have one kicking around! Thanks for the input and subscribing my friend.
