long term reviews r the best in my opinion!
Definitely.
Neeves again showing he is my favorite bike reviewer. He has a way of conveying the "inner" details of a bike in ways that correspond to my experience on those bikes we have both ridden. Kudos!
Great Video MCN! I'm the guy on the Bike in front of Michael at the the Nurburgring going round the Karussell....😊
Mr. Neeves probably gives the best motorcycle reviews of anybody. Good job mate. I want one of those bikes.
Always love your long term test updates/review. Really gives a good in depth look on ownership and all of its niggles.
Nice video. Always impressed with your presenting and articulation of bike reviews.
we need more such honest review on the net. thanks!
This guy's the read deal, best reviews on the net, honest, succinct, detailed. Feel like I owned the Gixxer after watching the test!! Thank you for an honest review. Cheers and thank you...
Great review. Cannot believe the same brake fade still exists that I had on my K5 track bike.
Your reviews are the best.
Sounds super fun and thanks for the personal review!
Great vid thanks for posting .. I pick mine up this week
love your accent and your review, best regards from Australia.
What a brilliant piece of review right here.... Thanks a lot sir
Brilliant detailed and honest review, nice.
M Souris couldn't have said it better.
agreed, this is how review for a bike should be
No when he said that the auto blipper is giving him an extra blip only track when turns in after braking he shows how inexperienced he is on track. I gave him the benefit of the doubt at first but then he goes on to say he can't replicate it and it only happens on track. I've only tracked my bike for a year as an amateur and I know what's happening.
@@cognition26 you do know Micheal Neeves has multiple race wins at club level and raced a classics gsxr1100 at Phillip Island
@@markjackson7650 Then why doesn't he realize that when you lean the bike the revs go up? And it's common for a lot of intermediate racers to use this for an up shift.
Top notch review as always Mr. N. I'm still looking for that job btw...lol...
Excellent review... thanks for all the detail.
Gosh; journalist in honest review of new superbike. Nice :)
after watching the new gsxr and the zx10r i will choose the zx10 over the gsxr because it has a good brake system with ss lines and the paint is pretty good will not fade. thanks mr neeves for the information and drive safe my friend
Good Honest review Micheal, For someone like me who will ride the Bike purely on the Road it sounds ideal. Most of its Weak Points sound like they are more Track focused.
Great honest review straight to the points👌🏽
Very professional job Michael. Your comments on this bike and also on the R1 (2015) and ZX-10R (2016) are all very precise and useful for us on our everyday lives. All Superbikes lack good brakes nowadays. I personally didn't like the CBR1000RR brakes. Maybe we are getting too demanding! :-) Have fun!
Only place I come for a review because adventure and speed is similar, so It's like a trip into the future. Niel is amazing
Great review. Looking forward to the next one.
The GSX-R is one of three bikes I'm looking at as my next/new motorcycle.
(the other two are the BMW 1000RR and the Fireblade SP)
The GSX-R started out as a favourite, but with all of the little things you mentioned such as the brakes (which is a standard thing I do anyway as I'm quite hard on the brakes) the paint being super thin in places etc etc.
They're not big issues by themselves, but as mentioned, on a 14k motorcycle, it shouldn't happen.
So as much as I want to like it, it probably means the GSX-R moves to the bottom of my very short list.
I guess that means it's between the CBR1000 and the BMW now. I just can't get over the a-symmetric looks of the BMW. I know the performance is the most important thing, but I just can't deal with it. Hopefully they'll fix it in the 2018/2019 model which (I heard) should be a big redesign of the bike.
The bike I've unfortunately haven't seen many "big" articles and/or reviews of, is the CBR.
I've always had a softspot for Honda, i've owned multiple and never had a problem with any of them.
At the moment, it's on top of the list. :) (although the BMW is a close second... just fix that damned wonky face)
Will MCN be doing a long term, or "bigger" video on the CBR?
Nice review MN, your affection for the bike comes through, even despite a few gremlins. Could you tell us more about your choice of screen? Is it quiet? Any buffeting? Maybe more weight on your wrists? I’m trying to figure out screens and not getting very far! The new ‘blade has a tiny screen, for example...
there's something going on with the quick shift linkage, maybe too sensitive triggering the blip but not shifting so that maybe just an adjustment issue or a replacement unit.
It’d be cool if you released the footage of your laps around the tracks especially the Nurburgring 😁
Still the best reviewer out there!
Nice to hear again about the good old gixx issue with brakes.
Gorgeous bike.
Ive never been a big GSXR fan over the years but Suzuki really have nailed this new GSXR 1000 💯 a litre sports bike id consider in the near future
You should've been. GSXR 2003-2005 had so crazy throttle response and so low mass centre it was really pure joy comparing to heavy and slow competitor gliders. Assembly quality and brakes were way worse than honda, but the engine.... mmmm
@@daniiltimin5396 The K7 is the best ;)
@@smashedlegends unreasonable high.
The k5/k6 is an amazing bike.
@@smashedlegends K5/6 supreme champ. 💙
yeah you go to La Cité de Carcassonne nice im living here !!
as always, great review, what type of screen did you fitted? thnks
Bike looks absolutely gorgeous, but as for a sport bike in which you can make long trips wouldn't you prefer a Hayabusa?
I love this motorcycle.!!
Man i would love to go on a long trip around europe on a bike as well...
Brilliant review - exactly what I wanted to know
Your comment on the auto blipper down shift. It gives a extra lunge if the throttle is not closed completely. Under hard breaking into turns down shifting try closing throttle all the way and try it with it on, it will then repeat itself for you.
Such a beautiful bike
Great detailed review!
Love your work
Great review! Thanks very much :)
A good objective round up 👏👍
Very very very good review. Can't say very enough times.
Gonna buy one!
Beautiful review as usual! 👌👌
This was solid, thanks.
Great review. Is the Fireblade less comfi as road bike than the GXR1000R? Cheers
My dream bike
Great review!
Nice review Neevesy!
King of sportbike
great review, im looking at buying a 2019 one shortly :)
MCN is by far the best motorcycle media out there.
44 teeth
sturgis87 Try 44 Teeth.
2018 version has the brakes and autobliper issue fixed.
Great update
Love this channel keep it up
great review thx !
my favorite bike
Does the windsheild that you have defelct the air where it doesn't hit your face or head?
Excellent, intelligent review
Is that the Skidmarx double bubble screen or the 2 piece TT screen?
You claim to be The Missenden Flyer. But the real Missenden Flyer always starts with "Hey Kids"
This is not missenden flyer lol
Wrong channel
You did yourself
Can you tell me which bike would you choose between the Zx10r and the Suzuki GSX r 1000 latest model ? Road and track use
Hi, please test and review the new S1000 ,2021 .
04:02 MY GOD!!!
Just noticed the Boeing plane in the background LOL
Can you please tell me about the steering dampner on it, some say its useless and that it needs and aftermarket one, did you find it okay on your trip?
Tnx for great video? How good is heat managment? My gsxr600 gets very very hot! Espetialy roundtown
Check out Brock Davidson videos about this bike. Just put down over 200hp to the rear wheel
Nice review as expected. Is there a company like hilltop motorcycles abroad/germany ? I'd like to change the exhaust. The old brake the issue
of the gsxr. No top brake definitly. But a least the calipers keep dry. From of 2019 the hayes caliper's of the s1000r (and a few boxemodells) lose brakefluid. Not to mention a few other issues. So the gixxer is the more honest and value bike.
Good review.
Very very good review
2 gear and speed 8 impressive👍👍👍
@5:30 that extra BLIP you talk about sounds like the PAIR system. My bandit does the same thing. Only ever after hard deceleration.
Stop comparing a rusty old bandit to one of the greatest motorcycles ever produced.
@@mariosavva999 One of the greatest motorcycles? Please, this thing is riddled with faults and not an ideal track bike even though that's it's main purpose.
8:03 there's a new GSX 125 in the back ground :)
Sounds like high praise from a bike that hasn’t really impressed anyone in the superbike comparisons. However, as I’m looking for a good street bike to make the work commute, and some fun Sunday rides with, it sounds like this makes the cut!
So out of the 3 long term test bikes R1, ZX10R or GSXR1000R did you prefer? I only ask as I am looking to buy one but can’t decide which one. I will only be using on the road
Gsxr the best bike ever built
It has the shittiest brakes and you call it one of the greatest bikes.
@@uttamjeetsingh7451 No, the best ever, live a little and buy a GSXR. 💙
I wonder how Neeves feels about this vs new S1000RR on the street and touring
Suzuki GSXR, simply the best. ❤️💙
Dear @MCM. What you mean with tingeling and Bussi? I have bought a new one last week and i found that its a really vibration Bike. Above 7000rpm it isn't Fun anymore :(
what sport bike do you recommend for beginner ?
If the throttle bodies are a little out sync, can that cause a buzz in the bars?
very good
That brake lever action is unforgivable - not really 'pinching a brick' more like squeezing a melon
So as a road bike its good which its intended to do..
Great review, but OMG that tank sticker, could it be any more wonky ?!
can i get a link for that tail tidy
Found a 2014 with 7k miles on it. Dealer wants $8,900. Are they asking too much and does anyone have any tips or advice on the ‘14 model?
Which bike is better on the road? This or the ZX10R?
will the 600/750 adj pegs fit on this bike?
very strong car
Ffwd to end of '18 and Zook has addressed the '17 brakes for '18 and now the '19's will all get ss lines... so 3rd year is always a good bet on 'new' models. for '19 Autoblipper standard on all of them now also not just the R. Here in usa all black is now an option. Now if they can just get a multi color AMOLED Dash ?
Great info and interesting to watch... lots of informative points, without the nonsense black and white drama review nonsense
Why does it need a rear hugger? that'll stop the rubber hitting the prius behind in a burn out.
Thanks ,great review as always
See my city (0:54) in one of your videos, it's just great 😍👌
grunty and snatchy you say...Sounds perfect for me ;)
You can disable traction control AND/OR ABS on ANY vehicle simply by pulling the relays... #YoureWelcome
the thing is you shouldn't have to on a 20K bike unlike most others you can switch off individually. Thats the point he was making.
