My Prediction:
The clan was founded by white and black cats which over time led to a clan of tuxedos and other black n' white patterns, but before this occurred, the white cats had done something (I'm assuming that they either banded together or were seen as separate based on the cave painting). All of the other cats in the clan seem to be mostly black (or at least half black) so when a mostly white kit is born, they must be forfeited to their "good" ancestors (represented by the dark bird which could represent the angel of the darker cats because it's black and has wings).
But that's just a theory, a film theory!

​​@@kwithcat No crowsong was going to be sacrificed but was saved due to a prophecy I believe. Though she grew up hated by the cats in her clan because she's albino this character isn't albino and looks like they didn't survive either.

This is amazing, I need to know more. My current theories are:
1: There’s some sort of prophecy going on, and the cats believe child sacrifice (either this one specifically, or any all white kit) will prevent some sort of disaster
2: The mom in particular is being punished for something
3: This clan regularly makes child sacrifices to the ravens for some reason
4: All white kits are seen as cursed, and must be killed/sacrificed to appease the birds
