Vložit
- čas přidán 15. 07. 2021
- What was meant to be a 2 night car camp in moderate rain turned into an unmitigated disaster. Out of nowhere a red weather warning was issued after I'd setup camp. Gale force winds destroyed my camp. Hope you enjoy!

Disclaimer: Any nasty comments will be deleted and the user permanently blocked, without hesitation. Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoy the video. Such a shame this major storm kicked in when it did. Also the fact the warning came so late. I had been checking the weather forecast for days and it was just moderate rain. Anyway, none of what happened is the manufacturers fault. This was a major wind event and only a 4 season Hilleberg would have stood a chance. Enjoy the video. ❤️AB
if you could reinforce putting more rope's by connecting them like X pattern with current setup it will hold up tight.
What a night,Tony😱!! You did all you could to make everything secure; it was just no match for Mother Nature. Did you ever find out how high the winds got during the night? When you first got in the tent and had to get up to go out to see what was flapping, I was begging you to get in the car!! Glad you heard me!😆 Very entertaining video🥳 So sorry you lost your crappy tent and great tarp. I saw Luke review that tent recently. He had major leaking issues. I thought “uh oh” when I saw it. All’s well that ends well! We love your adventures and Bruce.😘 Till next time, Your North Carolina girl, Harriet
Large tarp in wind......problematical at best...hug amount of force being exerted on fabric, ropes, archer points. . Would have been interesting to see if outcome would have been different with a "four season" tent and their stronger poles.
Hey tony my name Russell and I feel like you gonna kill it on ur next one. hey you never know what’s going too happened when ur doing what you do but just know I’m with you man. Stay focused try not to get frustrated keep ur your cool and I think you will be great say hi too Bruce for me if u need anything advice. Give me a shout out see ya .

I don't think people understand how much time and energy goes into these videos. Please know your work is so appreciated I love watching these before bed. Helps decompress the day to see you out there.
Tony I have to tell you ,I've had a stressful day but this was priceless.i never laughed so hard..You cursed so many times and told what happened but it was filmed .Bruceie took off .I thought the next thing would be the beer can exploding .You choked on the cigar .You we're so funny then you said oh my gosh after you were beeped so many times I love you and your videos .Thank you
The only problem with this channel is it always takes me 2 or 3 goes to watch to the end because I keep falling asleep to the awesome sound of the rain !!! No other channel does it this good. Brilliant video. Love and best wishes to you and Bruce from the UK 🇬🇧♥️👍
Thanks
I thought it was just me 😂😂🤷♀️❤️
I’ve been watching at the end of my day once I’m in bed and I’ll finish watching the next day! 😂😂 I am not about to miss anything!! Specially Brucey!! 💞
And me too I even had a dream lol..

Oh my gosh, my dog passed away a few weeks ago and I’ve been really torn up about it. He was the first dog I ever had and I literally yearned for a dog my entire life. He was better than I could have ever imagined. Seeing Brucey and you hugging is exactly what I needed. It just melted my heart. Thank you. 🥲
No wind noise! I'd love to hear it.
L+Ratio bozo 😈😈😈😈😈😈😈
@@koeybot you say this in response to a post about my dog dying….? Why?
@@koeybot There is no ratio to speak of on this platform.
@@NKdidit.24 Aw I know it! Thanks so much. He was certainly was special.
I know rain sucks for some people but I cannot get enough of it. Thanks so much for all the rain content. I wish more camping/bushcraft channels would do this.
I know. This might be a good time to comment that I take some pretty awesome naps during these videos!!
@Smile Feel born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia/ USA with Irish, Native American ancestry so yes indeed it would make sense that these rainy day camping videos are very comforting.

Braves 96 I'm from Canada. I've always been made fun of me for how much I love precipitation, however, whenever it rains, who do they think of, ME! lol
So nice to see there are other pluviophiles that watch camping videos.
I absolutely love rain and thunderstorm, infact i sleep to rain and thunderstorm noises everyday. I don't understand why many people hate rain.
Me too bring it on.
I always appreciate your honesty and determination. This is a real life example of weather severely changing and how people can be forced to make difficult decisions. I’m glad you and Bruce were able to stay safe.
I love this dudes energy. Calm, courteous, with nice long videos. And he also taught me how to make curry.
😂😂😂😂😂 curry huh. Yeah a.b is definitely in my opinion the best camper out there. Well him and slim potatoe head. Definitely learned alot from them and the videos always are entertaining.
@@tnxjesus lol half the video i am googling the gear adding them to the amazon wishlist thats growing ever so long 😂😂 Guy knows his stuff and comes across genuine. Lot on YT seem to put an act on for the cam. What you see is what you get with tony. I like that
That sudden wind gusts scared Bruce instantaneously ,that makes camping more exciting and comedic.Knocking your gears during the incident just hilarious. Keep the fun going though.
You never know what will happen. How I remember being homeless and having to deal with terrible situations like this many times!
What a trip! You're both safe that's the main thing. Bruce's morning snuggles are just the best - what a cutie.
It's also appreciated that you do longer videos.
Got your ass kicked on this one a.b. lol. Not often that happen with you. I love that you keep it real that you dont try to hide failures. Live learn camp another day. Awesome vid as usual my friend
I love that you're down to earth... I love how well-behaved Bruce's is he is a character. I love the rain and I love you putting up with the rain for your subscribers. Can't wait to see your wife in a video or two! Thank you for the great time.
Hello Tony, I usually watch your videos at night when I'm done with work, because they help relax me. I even open a beer at the same time you do. However, this was the most stressful camping video I have ever seen. lol. I was right there with you worrying about the tarp and the tent, and of course you and Bruce. Can your next video be a little bit more relaxing? I think you need it, and damn, I know I do too! Love your work, and your channel. Cheers, -Aaron
I'm really torn because on one hand I sympathize with this guy, on the other its super entertaining to watch everything go wrong.
lol
I'm with you man he massively over reaches.
haha torn - no pun intended
Yes we relax while you Tony and Bruce do all the work.
I saw AB having to justify
‘Buy me a coffee’ Lots of people do this. I see it as contributing for watching a movie as it’s just as entertaining plus it helps to continue bringing this to those who love this type of thing. Giving your time is invaluable. Beautiful idea.
Thank you.
No you didn't have to put yourself through this for CZcams or anyone watching. You and Bruce's safety always come first! I just adore you and Bruce.
Completely agree with you Holly.
I really like it that you put the good and the bad on video and let us watch. Bruce is amazing. My standard poodle died two years ago ( she was 14 ) and so watching you and Bruce makes me smile and cry.
The view of this spot is amazing.
The sound is excellent , even with the wind .
Yes indeed
I have a mini van and I have thought about doing that . We went camping on the outer banks and the wind and rain came and it was blowing campers and tents everywhere . In fact we tied tents to trees and a fence running around campground. One dome tent flew like a bird . You are always entertaining and Bruce has a heart of gold to stay by your side . One thing about NC , weather is changing every five minutes .
I love Bruce so cute Dog 😁
I don't remember anything quite like this episode where everything keeps getting a little bit worse until everything implodes and you retreat to your trusted truck. I thought you just might pull it off right to the end. Lots of suspense and excitement. Bruce had complete confidence in you keeping him safe. Thanks for posting.
hehehe. Having a great time, going along with you and Bruce on this windy adventure. You laugh and I laugh with you. I say that, despite troubles, if you are laughing, you are making good memories. P.S. I love the rain and storms, It makes me feel closer to my father, who I recently lost to Alzheimers. He loved storms and we watched them together, in the dark, when I was a little girl. Thanks! -Hollie
Thank You for your video, I love to watch you and your lovely dog Bruce. The love and care you show for your dog is beautiful. I'm glad your safe after the bad weather. You are an inspiration, thank you kind regards from the UK
Brother you make the best videos , therapeutic
I love disaster movies :) Greetings from Switzerland
Respect to this man! One of the best out there!
Keep it up, T. 🙏🏻
We love your videos and we love you and Bruce. We appreciate your honesty with all your reviews on camping equipment. We have watched many other camping videos of different people and you are one of our favorites. Keep doing what you are doing, we love you. P.s. ignore all the negative comments, you will always have trolls on here.
nightmare. You so strong guy A was very good video very reality 🙋♀️👍
No worries, you showed how hard it is to camp in a hurricane. Good job, great video. Glad you and Brucie are safe!!!
I love your attitude!! After this disaster, you are still smiling and making us laugh. Thank you. On another note, my favorite expression from you is the one when you look back at the camera after you release Bruce for his meal with “Go ahead on, boy.” Not crushing- just saying how sweet that expression is in that moment when you look back at the camera. Proud Papa!!
Hunker down like Steve!
I'd love to see both on a camp out together.
It would not be camping with AB if it wasn't this exciting. Love Love Love the vibe. You are the real deal and Bruce is a real trooper!!
These kind of trips are the ones that you remember. When everything goes smooth and as planned you won’t remember those trips. Thanks for sharing your trip with me .
Cheer up ole chap,we live and learn from our experiences .big ups for showing us the subscribers and veiwers how it really was..Mother nature at its best when s.h.t.f.Easy for us veiwers to criticize by our warm fires and comfy recliners.Keep the content coming amigo.Well done for keeping it real👍💯Bark out to Brucey
So happy to see another video, I've missed you and Bruce.
Very exciting video. Good sound. Thrills, chills, and spills. You and Bruce are quickly becoming an internet sensation.
Thank God for your safety and such a volatile atmosphere
What a beautiful place even with the rain!
Hello Tony! That was a beautiful spot, and for most occassions, a good setup. Over the years, I've done some adaptations to my camping setups for wind and rain, and what I've settled down to is have three things - have a tent big enough to do everything during bad weather, have the tarp hug the tent and minimize the the points where the wind can go between the tarp and tent, and use bungee cords to tie the tarp down - if the wind is such that the tarp will bow in/out - having the bungees make for a more "forgiving" system in terms of stresses and strains. Regardless, having that plan of retreat incase things go bad is the best! Keep up the adventures and thank you for the channel!
I never thought I would be on the edge of my seat over a camping video haha.
So sorry about your dog 🐕.Read Rainbow Bridge .To Tony your videos have The best sound .rain wind cooking ,awesome job ..Thank you.Bruce your great God Bless
Mother Nature monster stomped your campsite, but left Brucie’s water bowl in place. Brucie had complete trust in you and seemingly slept well knowing you’d both be okay. Thank heavens for your truck. Keep calm and carry on camping. Love your channel. Thanks for all the effort you put into entertaining us.
Yes yes yes. My dude. I was waiting on this. A man of your word. I love it.
I find that Tennis Balls on the Tarp end of the poles helps to spread the Tarp load Evenly , worth considering Tony .
Now THAT is a great idea.
@@ABCampingTony Can't take the credit for it though !.
Fun no matter what. Enjoyed the video Tony and Bruce.
OMGoodness I would be scared to death!Thank goodness they have the truck to protect them!!!
I'm so sorry about your tarp.
Hard lessons learned.
Such a shame Tony.
Sorry you and Bruce's trip got ruined by the weather. Just glad your both safe and sound.
I wish I had thought of these kinds of set ups, 50 years ago. I had the opportunity to do it all. Now in my 70s. I can only watch you and Brucie. Lol.
Your Realy welcome means a lot to me to been nice had fun with your self Bruce 🤗😊🤗😊🤗😊💙💙💙💙🙏🙏🙏🙏
I really enjoy your videos and different gear ideas. I laughed at your facial expressions everytime the huge gust of wind came in felt like I was there doing same thing. I truly love watching Brucie in the ocean and jumping over the rocks. You are a great team together. I will keep watching for sure.
My husband and I love your videos..we are addicted to the program!! We love the interaction between you and Brucie. You really do include all the good and bad that is happening in each video...so interesting. We can hardly wait until the next video comes out. The rain and snow camping videos are our favorites. We feel like we have been camping after watching your camping experiences.
Awesome! Thank you!
You help me sleep man, its so peaceful watching you and Bruce.. But u give that good boy that food!!! He stares like my German shepherd waiting for you 😂
No matter the circumstances Bruce is every morning he's eager to greet the new day and Tony...❤
The guy who does "The Outdoor gear review " had that tent. It didn't really work all that well
The last one was a totally epic one ('the one with the frozen shoelaces') and beautiful as ever.
Can't wait to see what Robin's got under his hood for this one, the intro looks very promising.
Going to indulge this one with some pancakes for dinner.
Also quite green and lush in NZ in winter (at some places), be-a-utiful! Keeps amazing me.
Many thanks for sharing the adventures and best regards from the NL.
45:35 i just loved the way bruce, be very very patient waiting for the “go On” to eat his dinner, oh bruce you’ll will always be remembered 😢
Got to give credit where credit is due.... Total thumbs up.....He didn't back down from a good storm..... Just a thought- the truck may have been a good wind break.
As a retired army sgt , I fully understand your situation, weather changes quickly ! And because of time of day (or in this case , night) you can’t just pick up and leave , it’s a safety issue , any kind of movement at night and bad weather spells disaster, the fact that you kept filming was remarkable 👍👍 , take care , waiting for the next video 🖖
My husband was a retired Sgt., as well. Army. Thanks for your service. ❤️💐
I love these videos so much, so relaxing and just so informative for the products to buy , keep up the amazing things you do , and we all love Bruce, I’ve only come across you the last 2/3 weeks and binged watched all of your videos, can’t wait for more amazing content much love
Thank you so much!!
I like your videos . Is like
Hello Tony it's so relaxing to watch you and Bruce thank you so much for your time and learning I really appreciate you
We are so glad you had the truck for comfort and safety!!
Tony & Brucey, I learn so much from your videos about surviving during camping, but most of all U ARE HALLARIOUS!!!! You are a natural comedian without even trying. Wish you & Bruce continued safety & good health eith all adventures.
Brucie is adorable! What a trip! I’m a new subscriber from 🇬🇧 and thoroughly enjoying your channel - never knew that watching some bloke called Tony, cook steak, have an occasional cigar and craft beer, all while facing the elements in beautiful landscapes, with his trusty sidekick - would be so entertaining! Thanks so much for sharing with us all 😊
Hi Tony and Bruce , Beautiful View you have there , slightly Jealous !
NOW, this was a doozy. I am glad you and Bruce are OK. Thanks for the REAL.
Tony loved it!!! Back to coding on my project!!! "Pushing the Gear!!!! LOL
Your facial expression had me cracking up when the tarps were flapping, you were like oh shit! It was so rock solid you and Bruce ended up in the truck.😁😁😁😁😁i guess something major did happen during the night. Glad you and Bruce were alright. Should have named this one Bruce goes Camping In A Hurricane.
The people who gave dislikes haven't been camping in real weather like this. Great video mate .
I am from Michigan in the USA. I love your videos. It is good to see how we can enjoy camping in all sorts of weather. Really great stuff!
As always, Bruce is the true star!
My friend u should have the tent on the side of the car. Any kind of picks can not tolerate strong wind. Great vid though
I wanted to use the tailgate for cooking etc
The Defender Tarp is much stronger , but very heavy to carry , 20 ooo mm Hydrostatic head ! ,
I am a 74 year old grandma from Chicago and am addicted yo your videos. Go figure... your appeal is universal. You rock!
i dont know why but i never thought i would watch these types of videos but somehow iam hooked at your video, and the cute dog has a uniqe personality of his own, take care dude.
Tell me , how long did it take Brucie to train you ? lol.
New subscriber - love your videos - so relaxing in these awful times.
You recently asked in one of your videos for recommendations and I have one, don't respond to trolls
or even acknowledge their nasty remarks - they get a warped kick out of
knowing that you read it and that it upset you - the best way to treat
them, is to ignore them.
Not to hurt your feelings, but I watch your videos for Bruce!!!!. I love, love his adorable little face!! I have the urge to chew it up. LOL
Glad you and brucie are safe after that storm ⛈. Certainly was a 🌬Winnie the Pooh moment ❤️ Thank You!
Beautiful location, going to enjoy the whole video now :)
TONY. LOOKS LIKE IF YOU WERE WEARING A TOUPEE, IT WOULD HAVE BLOWN OFF.
CAN’T WAIT TO WATCH
lol
"this is classic it really is even for me." Oh I love your camping trips with all the crazy excitement!
I could sit there all day... cup of coffee going.. .. man's best friend... you got it right.... enjoy.. thanks..
Me and my wife camped in a situation like this many years ago. The wind was unbearable and the weather wasnt much better. Going home at that point was not an option. We dont give up to easy. I parked the truck on the side where the wind was beating our camp to death. our vacation suddenly went like clockwork and we had a good time even though the conditions were as bad as they were. the truck made a great windbreaker.
Great idea 👍
Exact same thing happened to me once, went from 28 degrees and sunny to 8 degrees, windy and rainy. Tarp we put over the two tents tore off and collapsed, then one of the tents also collapsed (with me in it!!). We were so mad we tossed everything in a dumpster and left, worst camping trip ever.
Thank you fir keeping bruce cozy 👊🏻🐐
Great video's man keep em' coming . Love your dog Bruce the way he wants his food but won't eat till you say brilliant. AND KEEP THE RAIN VIDEO'S COMING. 👍
Great video even if the mini hurricane made a mess. I doubt much of anything would of held in those winds. A spare tent and tarp my have got you through another day and night. All in all, you came, saw and killed it! “The devil said to Tony, “you can’t handle the storm”! Tony said, “I Am The Storm! Hah 😡
I absolutely loved this video! The first 10 minutes…hilarious 😂I’ve got a long flight Sunday so I plan on downloading a couple of your videos. Sorry for your mishaps and weather issues but you handle them well and your commentary is good stuff.
Praying for y'all! Hope your home is safe, you're starting to get things back in order & you were able to salvage your gear. Give Bruce extra tummy tickles!
Great scenery and always nice to see a dog enjoying himself in the water.
Great Video Tony , Be Well my Friend ,and you to Bruce !.
Would it have made a difference if you had your vehicle facing the wing as a wind break? Bruce took off soon as things started to go wrong. Lol.
Maybe but then the wind coming under the car would have been horrendous.
Agreed about the facing of the vehicle. Having it facing into or away from the wind would make the tarp more like a parachute then as a roof. No amount of anchoring would have kept it intact. Course, being in an open area near a coastline when facing a storm front, looks to have been not ideal. You'd probably need to have been near a natural wind break instead.
Lesson learned.
Glad Bruce liked being in that area. Looks like a wonderful location.
Hi Tony and Bruce. How does this video not have more views?!? Holy crap that was stressful just watching, can’t imagine how you felt, glad you guys made it out safe! Thank you so much for all the content.
Brilliant mate . Every camp is a learning curve
Dear Chummy Camp guy
Your dog adores you. You are a model dog lover. I derive such peace from your camping trips. Thanks for bringing me along. Keep going!! You and Bruce are great.
Wow!!! Brutal out there !! Thanks for hanging in there; we loved it!!
Bruce and water are friends.
Totally enjoyed this camping trip. I love storms. So glad you had the truck. Sorry for the damage.
I also love sleeping in the cozy and safe truck.👊🏽 views!!! Belly rubs❤
