Ted Barrow aka @Feedback_TS is one our favorite Instagram follows. He's a New York skater that has built up quite a following by having kids submit their videos to his account for an honest and sometimes brutal critique; occasionally a positive review is posted...occasionally. With no shortage of willing submissions, Ted's dry and witty delivery can be polarizing to some and may be an acquired taste to others, but we love it. We're going to bring you a weekly dose of some our favorite roasts of his in this mini-montage for your viewing pleasure. What the fuck? I’m just now finding your reviews. I had no idea my life was this incomplete. Ted, you rule. Someone needs to say something about the constant onslaught of shit that, in the long run, will not have a positive effect on this thing I have spent over 30 years sucking at.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but with the divisive nature of so much that is going on these days (politics, race relations, etc.) I think that it's worth while to take a moment and just be siked on skating regardless of what someone is wearing or how skilled they are.

I thought these were witty and cool at first because Ted’s above average vocabulary and scathing critiques were entertaining in a provocative way but then I realized it’s just negative bitter de-motivating hating from another aging skate obsessed snob who has a white knuckle death grip on the way things used to be and could have been.Jake Phelps RIP was an even older skater who has seen and edited it all in skating over decades but his perspective was way more rad and positive. He said it doesn’t matter where or how you skate. What matters is challenging yourself and having fun and creating memorable experiences with your friends on your boards. I thank the heavens I’m not a bitter old skater (cuz I am old )who feels so entitled and so angry that they created a public forum to nitpick, impose his skate-view and prop himself up by stepping on others while obsessing 24/7 about what could and should have been his skate glory.And I don’t believe for a second that this is a “persona” not to be confused with his real personality. The justifications are just way to personal and transparent. Another indicator of this is that he never critiques females. If it was just a persona he wouldn’t discriminate, he would be an equal opportunity buzzkill because it’s just a persona and joke right? If anyone ever creates a psychiatric practice that specializes in skateboarding related pathology Ted should be patient zero. Go out and have fun and challenge yourself at whatever level you choose - that’s skating IMO. Don’t let this snobbery rubbish ruin your perspective. P.S. Art history people are some of the most insecure, vapid, unpleasant and frustrated people you will ever meet. They are just another type of person that scrutinizes the creativity of another because they lack the creativity and vision themselves.Makes sense that this contempt bleeds into his skate mentality. Sorry Theodore but you know deep down in the recesses of your waspy heart ensconced in J. Crew and LL Bean that I’m right.
