Super cool to see how many features from mods like S+ and the like have made it to vanilla in ASA, like the recipe and auto craft on things like the campfire/cooking pot, the toilet meat spoiling etc etc Glad they’re keeping the more powerful features (that some find QoL) to the upcoming oviraptor relatives ;)

It’s insane how many quality of life changes ark asa has! I’m so excited for the console launch. It doesn’t bother me having to wait a little more I only hope that it releases smoothly and ready when it does.
The wireless crafting thing actually made my jaw drop. Played this game for years with friends on playstation and getting all things to fit in workbenches was a nightmare sometimes XD
@12:45 theres been a few times where i accidentally picked up a metal cliff platte w a full chandy of heavies and my entire base on top because i was trying to pick up a metal cable. So glad to see all the heavies dont go to waste anymore
Ahhhh i wish my passing brother could experience this with me 😭 i would sometime go back to our saves and venture through his house and the things he did before he left 😢
I really really admire them trying to cut down on needing 3rd party information being open. A game having everything you need IN the game is a very good direction
Honestly love the way you showcased the new features with a "here's how you do it" instead of just "yeah it's a feature good luck figuring it out" kinda way! It took me forever to figure out how the new way points work in game. (for anyone else struggling either access the map from the inventory screen just 'tab' over and place a waypoint and then select it to track it or double press m to open it place and track it)
The very first one was an amazing tip. Being able to instantly spoil a few stacks of meat early game is crazy useful for getting those early tames going.
You can actually drag the crafting tab blueprint to your hot bar to make them and you get enough materials while you're tracking it and you can craft and gather at the same time without accessing your inventory
These are such good tips and features I haven’t seen in any other video yet. You were straight to the point and properly explained things. Can’t wait to see more from you in the future
The style of this video is great! I love the story telling and the slowed-down pace in comparison to so many "X features in 1 minute" videos. They got they're raison d'être, but this is really well made and fun to watch. Now I can acutally remember the things, since I watched some use cases. Thanks for the video!
Okay, usually not a compliment for a video but this one was very efficient. Your transitions from feature to feature were so clean it actually made sense for how these systems would be used, awesome! +1 Sub.
With crafting recipes you can drag the blueprint into your hot say number 7 then press 7 and it will tell you how much you need and you can also craft it when done

Amazing features the ONLY thing I wish they would add is a button or object or something where I can press it and it sends everything in my inventory that has a dedicated storage set up to that storage so it would make would me farming solo a lot better. Farm to cap, Tele to base, press button, tele out. That and an inventory auto drop feature like I don’t want thatch when I’m farming wood so I can turn it on for thatch and now it auto drops all thatch

I kinda dont like the respawn from the menu option, yeah from your inventory seems good, but from menu means you cant even knock someone out to keep them from respawning
Everyone that is starting out needs to see this. I did not know about the spoiled meat toilet. No more do I have to split one meat in my inventory and wait the timer out. Thank u!! (Also ppl, u can put air conditioner in windows too)
there's 3 i missed: the dung beetle now collects poop from it's surroundings, the oviraptor does the same for fert/unfert eggs and the watertank can extend the range of the water intake.
The first two along with some more are in a previous feature video (didn't want to repeat myself after only a couple of days), the other is an oversight on my part, thanks :)
Keep them up like that! Was so entertaining and informative to watch! One new asa feature are torches where the flames can be dyed now and put into standing and wall torches! And you can add a belt torch too.

I don't have ASA, so i can't confirm. But i think the prevent wireless crafting probably prevents auto-crafting from pulling from those storages. so you don't use up all your stored resources when you auto-craft something.

Most of them are great but I remember playing without the player's location display and it was unique experience for me. Too many HUDs are not great for me. Hopefully I'll be able to disable the majority of them
The new QOL features are godly for any OG ASE arkers. Question, every yotuber shows the Tek Binoculars are in the game, but no youtuber shows how you obtain them?
I've had to blindly fumble my way through the devkit to find this, but it seems it comes from defeating Alpha Overseer! (Assuming I've got this right...)

I wonder with the tracking option for craftables, could you click on the number 2 at the top left of that little menu for the bolas? You can click the trashcan to remove the tracking menu. For me, these menus are always behind my inventory, so I can *only* click the trashcan. For you it looked like the menu was on top of your inventory... Perhaps that's a setting somewhere, or maybe I'm just mistaken.
what about the procoptodon and the achatina? do they have new abilities too?? i heard about the Ovi and dung beetle, but i ask myself if those 2 have new features too
The suicide to not be jailed is an amazing improvement for PvP, when you had a fat base and you were agaisnt cheater with auto aim they could just jail ur whole team and make it easy for them to freely raid your base after, at least now they gonna need some skill and a load of patience even if they cheat to take your whole team out.
I gotta hand it to wildcard, they did a pretty astounding job with these little QoL features. The changes to the building system and shoulder pet inventory are probably my new favorites
About picking up structures! all the structures come in to your inventory but all the fuel and perhaps ammo not tested yet will drop on the floor ( or somewhere ) i my self have been losing a lot of wood because i keep replacing walls that has torches and when torches come to my inventory the fuel does not
The first tip for meat spoiling made me BUST UP LAUGHING.. LMAOO Now the toilet actually has a useful function other than making my bf laugh from poop/fart humor lol..
Wireless crafting is for the tek storage boxes. The dedicated ones that only hold 1 item. I've heard that they work with everything except for the forge and cookers.
I mean technically they're still using gasoline. It's just coming from the generator source now. And if you don't have a generator you have to put the gasoline in the inventory of the item.
Thank you for these. Some of them have been what I wanted just didn't take the time to go in settings to find it. I get that most people don't like the wires and pipes. However, I wished they left them in the game so people could use them as decoration pieces. I have not got to tek equipment. However, could the "prevent wireless crafting" option be to prevent items from being pulled from it.
I guess my question would be, with everything being powered by the generator does the fuel consumption increase with more things you power on? I hope not
@@Brotdem that's my point... if you build in the snow biome your building gets covered by snow both outside and inside. And it doesn't make sense on the inside or generally on surfaces under roofs or ceilings.

My ARK brain is already thinking of ways to exploit this. Pick up a structure and everything attached to it goes to your inventory. Okay, ill build my whole base on a pillar
I hadn't thought of it like that. I guess the idea now is that the Tek Gen is the only thing to power the Tek tier structures, like I always miss having a Tek Trough, but it's useless without the Gen to go with it. Perhaps there's a middle ground somewhere they could find though, I'd say have some power efficiency loss with wireless and cabling still being possible, but they'd have to add a whole new mechanic there, with each appliance having a load and larger bases needing more gens. Given this seems to be done to simplify things I can't imagine they'd do that though
The Tek Generator has a much bigger radius compared to the normal generator so they balanced it out that way plus the tek generator lasts way longer then it did in ASE.
You should see Medieval Dynasty, it may have changed by now but with high encumbrance your character would still do the same speed animation.... just over a shorter distance. *stomp stomp stomp stomp stomp* :D
Is the "don't pull for wireless crafting" option meant to say don't pull from this item? Can you do that on a storage box and then it won't pull from that box?
Generally official servers just aren't a good experience, especially for new players. Either need to find a decent unofficial or rent/host your own sadly

The changes I’ve noticed are definitely geared towards reducing late game lag. I bet spam won’t fo the same thing either.

You can drag the blueprint to he bar to use it as a quick key craft
The new generator system is going to make pvp interesting since you could hide them anywhere in your base.
Feel like the generator is equivalent to rust TC in importance to protect

Wireless crafting takes place after you have Dedicated Tek Storage. It will pull items directly from the boxed to make items.
I used to just get lost in the building but now... oh lawd the structures that could be made

If you hold R on pc while holding a torch the torch will be put on ur belt so you can still see and use ur tools at night

An old ase feature but if u hold alt and press a ceaftable item in ur hotbar it will craft it and multiple ones.

Thought I'd have a little bit of fun with it, try and stand out :D It does mean a bit less time for actual info though, which may not be to everyones liking. Just got to find that balance :)
