    You did a really great job my dear! You convinced me to buy the box! My kit just arrived today. I took the "Black Swan" (Zvezda 9031) because it was cheaper: it's identical to yours, except for the swan in front. I haven't started work yet because have to finish Columbus's Caravels first (Heller 52910). I have saved all your videos to take them as example and inspiration. I really like the "White Pearl" sign and the octopuses on the pedestal, but I can't find them. Can you tell me where you bought them?
    My Best Greetings and Compliments!

      Thank you very much !! I'm glad that my work is an example and inspiration !! The name plates and octopuses are my creation. The name plates had been made in my high precision cnc from beech and the octopuses from high density polyurethane as you can see on video 1.

    i got the Zvezda black pearl , haven't started it yet , but will check your model for inspiration . I was thinking doing custom sails , but you demonstrated very well that those sail , well painted can do the job . I probably will sand a bit the wood texture on the deck and hull , i find the texture too strong and too plastic :) . Good job , also do you know what type of thread i would be needed , i doubt there is enough in the kit , i may want to buy some more but there is no info about the type of thread they use for rigging . Awesome

      Thank you Asahiart!! I used the yarn in the box and some cotton yarn for knitting. I used these cotton yarns because they have more adhesion to the knots than the polymer yarns of the package ...

    Is there any differences between the two brand kits ?

    • @sallas4u
      @sallas4u  Před 4 lety +1

      The Revell pirate ship , Revell black pearl , Zvezda black swan and Zvezda black pearl all 4 came from the same mold..There are some diffrences in threads supplied in the box, the pirate ship and black swan have a swan statue in the front of the ship.Otherwise they are identical. Buy the one with the best price and follow the instractions of Revell,.. they are better. (you can find them online).

      Yes it is ! As you can read at the start of each of the 10 videos , I've made an imaginary sail ship from those revell or zvezda "black pearl" 1/72 kits. The black "black pearl" looks to black for me. Those classic colors really higlight the quality and detail of the kit....Thank you for the comment..

      @@sallas4u yes the ship wasn’t just restored, it was significantly transformed. Jack makes his deal with Davey Jones in the last chapter and the epilogue goes over some of he changes made to the ship. Jack had specified the ship be fully armed hence the extra cannons, the figurehead was also a new addition.
