I think it’s ridiculous how these breakfast hosts defend the police in this situation. The two police officers parked in an illegal parking zone and then flipped the middle finger after getting called out. Try doing that to a cop and see what they do. You’ll probably get a fine or get charged with disorderly conduct. I’m sure the cops could have found a drive-through to get their coffee somewhere in the city of Toronto without having to park their car. Cops are not above the law and should learn to put their egos in check.

It’s only illegal if they left their vehicle for more than 5 mins in a no park. The actual law states within the bylaw that there is a grace period with 5 mins within a no park for the purpose of activity off loading people or picking up merchandise.
Think of it this way, your Uber eats driver parks in a no park to run in and get your food, then delivers that food to your door step.
No different than any other vehicle or person leaving their car in a no park. It’s 5 mins and even parking officers have to actually give you 5 mins.
We are all allowed to be in a no park for the purpose of it being momentarily. Not to leave and dine in for hours unless you have an accessible permit.

Frank with his soft spoken passive-aggressive manipulation to find ways to disregard the police starting this issue with their idiotic decision to park where they did and lazily back-door into a prestigious coffee shop WHILE ON DUTY. They could have easily found creative ways to conduct a community patrol and add presence to an area while walking from further away from a legal parking spot and to the coffee shop. However, it is seen as unprofessional with them carrying out latés and frappés like this; putting themselves also in a venerable position while carrying this all out. All they had to do was get caffeine at a Tim's drive through. Or even call an Uber to pickup and deliver to their car; then run the plates on the uber guy to ensure he is operating a valid vehicle for his service and is the correct driver for said vehicle when it's known uber is at times having drivers who put in someone who isn't insured to drive that car. But of course Frank doesn't see things this way. Frank even thinks the police were blindsided here by being filmed. They are public service workers you twit! They are constantly in the public eye and film others with body cams doing the same thing with filming others at the blink of the eye to "catch them off guard". What a complete joke Franks opinion is here in his opening statement.

Those police officers need to adhere to traffic laws in a non emergency situation, the camera man did good to highlight an abuse of power by the representative of our justice system.
I Dont really care, that being said I don't. Care about several laws... Still follow them. And so should the police.

Wrong to park there, wrong to engage, wrong to flip bird. That said, I once asked a fire fighter in a mid sized town what he even did as there seemed to be very few fires.
I will never forget the stories they told me. EVER! Society has made life way too easy for way too many people that we can't even conceive of what some people go through on a regular basis.

People did respect cops at one time when they did their jobs, had the ability to demand respect and looked after Canadians and not bow down to the government's every whim

I cannot believe some of the reactions to this that I'm hearing from people who seriously should know better. It's honestly appalling!
Is there no room here to say that while the person filming may have been a bit of a jerk in how he went about this, he just may have been someone who was ticketed for the very same thing, in perhaps the very same place.... and very possibly after he himself worked 11 hours or more.... and got no consideration?
And is there no room to say that while we do support our police and we do appreciate how tough their job is and no, this is not a firing offence or one requiring serious repercussions that indeed, the officers should have, and very easily could have, handled this differently, de-escalated the whole thing and it would have all blown over?
Look, what the officers did was wrong. Plain and simple and the way they interacted with the man was equally wrong. Supporting the police does NOT mean that you excuse everything they do and they are never held to account. I support my kids but have often disciplined them when they stepped out of line.
I appreciate that the police work hard and work long hours but they're by no means the only ones who do.

Dude in thevright wrong he's and is deflecting from the real issue, these guys are abusing the system, one cop could of went in grabbed there refreshments while the other cop (the driver) was legally parked or doing laps down the street, cops role in society like it or not there the "ENEMY " they made it that way, when they arrive on the scene to a call or not civilians are treated as criminals, these cops are racists at times, abuse there powers, power tripping and entitled, good for them getting called out, btw I don't need the cops I can handle things myself I don't need these arrogant mf'ers in my life or business...

I was shocked the lady cop did that. Being as she is a professional no matter what in her position she should have handled it in a different way.
Professionalism is not being taught anymore. I don't think there are any excuses for her behavior. You put new laws we all should follow them Police or not. They set the example. I understand it was a quick stop for coffee and parked anywhere they could, but wasn't that the reason for the new parking law. It is to stop people from parking anywhere. If it were a nurse and she/he did the same thing ..I would say the same..there should be no exception..the guy with the phone was good on calling that out.
Definitely brings awareness to the new law . We should all follow it but nobody's perfect we all sneak in a quick parking spot but then again this why the new law wa was inforced.
I don't want to point this out but It also looks like abuse of power.
Police also set the example..by protecting us..and being the role models...this brings more faith in the police. So ya her behavior should not have happened.its a big WOW for me.
